Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. I would like to print a report of arrivals from the past which shows the guests ACTUAL check in time. Any report I produce shows the general 3pm arrival time but not the actual time the check in was performed on the system.

  2. Actually you can create a proforma invoice and print it as PDF, but it is not stored in Mews. So, if you like to find it weeks later, there is no chance. E.g. if you like to know on which guest you have created it.

  4. we need a reason - test. We run tests in demo and smoke tests in prod.
    Would be great if we can take out cancellation statistics by this reason, in case they were test bookings

  5. Mews lists amenities on the individual room level.

    It makes more sense to list amenities on the room category level so that all rooms within a specific category come with a set of amenities.

  6. When you cancel a group reservation, the tasks attached to one of the reservation will remain active. It would be helpful if tasks can be solved by default after you cancel the reservation

  8. How can it be that manual adjustments to a reservation are always overwritten by the channel manager? In addition, the profile, which then has to be adjusted again several times by the employee. This makes the work more difficult!

    We would like to be able to turn off the sound when a notification comes in.
    when we are talking to guests, it is very annoying when we hear a 'ping' in our ear all the time.
    if it is also possible to turn off the notifications completely, that would be great.

  10. In the summary screen of the voucher menu you only show the Name, Company, Travel Agent. We would like you to add in Rate Code and Expire Date in the overview. As its end of the year we now need to click into every voucher code to check if the voucher is still valid or not. We need a better overview on the created vouchers.

  11. Mews automatically applies cancellation fee for date changes within the cancellation window (unless you untick the box before making a change).

    We do not believe that date changes should be treated the same as cancellations and the cancellation fee should not be automatically applied.

    This is currently causing operational challenges with charges and adjustments in billing (in the rush, staff may forget to untick the box as this is not intuitive).

    It also causes guest complaints, as guests are still charged a fee even though their intention is to stay at the property (they may have just missed a flight…

If you accidentally post an incorrect amount for a Product, or forget to enter some information such as a check no. or any other relevant information, there does not seem to be any way either outright cancel that posting, or to amend either the amount you accidentally posted, or enter some notes you forgot to write.

    Could this please be rectified ASAP?

  16. Order of the spaces are currently not translated to the overview when you are booking the room so at the moment it cannot be changed.

    Would be great if the room display order pulls through here as well.

  17. To be able to create a combined/if restriction.
    As an example: For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of the creation of the booking AND at least 14 full days prior to the start date of the booking.
    At the moment, it is only possible to have either one of the two cancellation policies.

  19. A lot of companies get different deductions for different services. In order to get full compensation for a stay with breakfast incl. and not being able to not have breakfast, an option to post items as 0.00 would be good

  20. Have a filter in the reservations report for "staying period".

    For example, I want to look at bookings created on 04/10/2021 that are staying between 1st November and 31st November
