  1. It would make more sense if guests could fill in all the details that are needed in the registration form during the process of creating their booking on the website, instead of by online check-in form 48 hours before check-in. This way, you will have 100% online check-in guaranteed for direct bookings.

    I am also curious about your perspective on how that could impact the conversion? If we make the booking process more complex by asking for more information, isn't that a risk that more guests would abandon before completing the purchase?

  2. Add an address field in the booking engine so we can understand where our guests are coming from. Also helps with marketing efforts. If the PMS can then take this data and create a report showing states/countries that had the most amount of guests, that would be amazing.

  4. It would be great to be able to
    - setup public promotions / special offer campaigns like you can do on booking.com or expedia. Setup a special offer as a percentage or fixed amount discount based upon (a selection of) existing public rate, possibly with restrictions in terms of booking window and/or travel window, etc..
    - setup private discounts on (a selection of) existing rates with a promo code, for example a code returning guets can enter in the booking engine to access a returning booker discount on all rates ,...
    - above offers/discounts shall be also available for staff…

  5. When a reservation is done with 1 Adult + 1Child than the average price of the breakfast for both products will be displayed.Breakfast adults: 20€, Breakfast child 10€ then it displays 15€. This can be very confusing for guests + staff. It is better to display the price per each product and do not show the average price

  6. There exists a "Booking Abandoned" flow (the 15mins offset) in the booking engine configuration. However, this flow does not apply to Availability Block Reservations picked up via that same booking engine link. It would be great to consider the same rule for these types of reservations as well.

  7. When a TA uses a generic email address to make a reservation, the new Booker functionality workflow will add the card to the booker (TA), not the actual guest, ending up with an endless list of cards attached to the TA profile.

  8. Small Bug report: when opening the mail queue items from the dashboard of a guest profile that does not have an email address associated all mail queue items are retrieved (accross all profiles). I guess due to the fact that the SQL Query filters for the email address. Hence when empty all mail queue items are retrieved.
    The system should check if an email address is on file, if not decline to open the mail queue item list giving an error that an email address must be provided.

  9. Net Properties would like to see the breakdown of total cost in Confirmation and Quotation Emails between Net + Tax, and then Gross Value.

  10. Let the hotels decide if the guest's e-mail should be optional instead of default at the kiosk.

    Since it's not a legal requirement in DK it's critical for us that we cannot change it in the "Check-in form"

  11. Allow guests to create optional reservations in the Mews Booking Engine instead of directly confirming. This should trigger the quotation email allowing the guest to review the details of their stay, pay a deposit and confirm the reservation (applicable to long stay guests)

  12. Hi Mews Team,

    the online check out function is yet not available for all reservations. For example it is not possible to use the check out online for company reservations. We need this function available for all reservations.

    1. Enable online checkout for all reservations
    2. Guest need to change their billing adress during online check out. This is absolutely essential the prevent going customers to front office to change their company adress.
    3. The process must be easy and quick

  13. Set up an alert in Mews to notify when a guest's gender does not match the room's designated gender. For example, if a guest's profile is marked as Male but the room is designated for a Female, Mew will display an alert: "The guest's gender does not match the room type. Would you like to proceed with the check-in?"

  14. Currently, if the free cancellation policy is set up after the check-in time, Mews booking engine doesn't display the correct hour after which the client will need to pay the cancellation fee. So for example, our corporate rate bookings are free to cancel until 6 pm on the check-in day. However, the booking engine displays that the cancellation is free up till 4 pm on the day of arrival because the check-in time is set at 4 pm.   15. We would like to be able to remove the property logo from e-mail templates. The FAQ (https://help.mews.com/s/article/Can-I-remove-duplicate-property-logo-in-emails?language=en_US) now describes to remove the logo from your HTML template. However, we want to use a different logo in our mail templates versus the other places that the property logo appears (booking engine, invoices etc.).

  16. The main guest should be able to invite a companion to complete Online check in regardless of whether it is required or not for the property's legal environment.

    This will allow properties who currently don't have this option to have a better check in experience for both guests staying on the reservation.

We've just tested conversion on the mews booking engine vs siteminder and mews is significantly lower and what appears to be the key fix is to allow the site visitors to see all bookable spaces/rooms/packages available on step 1 in combination with date selector so they can refine down to preferred room and dates. I've seen multiple other requests which suggest the same issue

  20. The AVS marketplace connection uses the tax identifier to identify the age category of the guest for the local tax. A feature that pre-fills the tax identifier (based on age of the guest) would make the life of hotels that have to use AVS a lot easier.

    For example:
    if guest is an adult, always set XX in tax identifier field.
    if guest has the age of 13-17, always set XY in tax identifier field.

    In 99% of the cases we would leave this untouched, but we would need the possibility to change the field (best case via drop down…
