Roomtype setup also needs to have the option to configure a rebate accounting categorie. We want to split revenue per roomtype with different accounting categories. This is possible, but when revenue is rebated it goes to a general rebate categorie instead of the configured room type accounting categories. Seems like the product team forgot to develop the rebate- and cancelled items accounting categories settings in the room type configuration section.

Double click booking on timeline and open booking details page.
Currently to get to the details section of a booking you have to click on the booking, move the mouse, and click detail.
We should be able to just double-click the booking on the timeline and go directly into the details of the booking.34 votes -
Once Nights are Rebated, The Date of the Nights are not on the " Additional Expense Night Items"
The problem is on the open bills after rebates. The night items do not show the dates of the nights. However, when you close or preview the bill, the dates are visible.
This causes some problems in case the bills require splitting of different nights. As the way the night items are ordered on the preview is also not how it is ordered on the Mews open bill.
Current fix is to move the items around and preview multiple times until the receptionists get it right. This is a time-consuming task. If the dates are already there, there is no…

Lead-in time and configuration for product upselling
There is already a suggestion for having a inventory for stay products. Now that the products can be booked by the customer during the booking flow and online check-in, it would be interesting to have more configuration options for upsell products. Right now, it is very limited. Certain products need to be prepared or ordered on request. There should be a deadline of choice. For example: booking a bouquet of flowers can only be added 48 hours before arrival. Otherwise we can't order the flowers anymore. Availability Block report - show Room Picked-up / Blocked
Can you under the Availability Block Report add a column for Picked-up/Blocked rooms?
So we easily can see what block that still have rooms blocked but not picked up, without having to open each and everyone to check for blocked rooms.
Per today we only see "status, Start, End, Release, etc"Then we can more easily sell it to someone else !

Send receipt by email automatically
When a guest has paid, an email with the receipt should be automatically created and sent if the profile has an email attached.
This would save some clicks and also save the environment by not printing (you can just say - the receipt is already sent to you by email :))

added items on bill not shown as package
Manually added items on the bill now show in the package. We always have to open the package in the billing to see, if the guest as any extras to the original booking. This is really confusing because we can't even see if the item was already booked with the original booking or added later.
Before it was easier: we could show the guest the amount of the package booked and below all extra items were displayed.

Dropdown product list in the "items" tab is displaying wrong price as product is selected before the consumption date
The dropdown product checklist in the "Items" tab of a reservation currently displays product prices based on the assumption that consumption will occur on the first day of the reservation. However, some products have variable pricing depending on the day of the week. As a result, the displayed price reflects the price applicable on the reservation's start date rather than the actual consumption date. This discrepancy may cause confusion for staff, as the price shown in the dropdown may not always be accurate.

Read only access to reservations for certain positions
Access to reservations, but read only. This is useful for smaller properties where for example the security guard needs to check passports/ID to make sure the correct person is in front of them.
But then don't give them the access to make any changes to them.

character limit
I have recently discovered a 1,000-character limit has been applied to (at least) the description of a new rate when I attempted to modify an existing description and add a new rate. Overall, not an issue. The problem to solve is formatting this description. Line breaks and blank lines entered when writing the description are no longer recognized and now the lines all run together. This is not a great Guest experience and is apt to cause more Guests to skip reading the description entirely when they see a big block of words. I hope this was an oversight when…

Mews App: Filtering "Service" on the Spaces Page should automatically reflect in "Assign" Page
It can be cumbersome to filter further on the "Assign" Page (hand icon) when a client has already filtered the service on the "Spaces" Tab (house icon), especially for the number of Spaces we still have to go through in order to select the correct space per that service. Somehow, ALL the spaces are still listed regardless of the filtered services.

Selecting all open bills on a routed company bill at once
I would be nice to have a 'select all' open bills button or checkmark where we can more easily manage all items / open bills on company bills that have a large number of open bills due to payment routing.

Import Reservations with Creation Date
When migrating data from past provider to Mews, allow importing the original creation date of all reservations being migrated to facilitate analysis of the booking pace (comparing booking creation date and guest's arrival date)

Sort out cancelled / no show reservations in groups
When going through cancelled / no show reservations (groups) it is time-consuming having to click on each and every one of the reservations in the group to see what date and what reason the booking was cancelled.
In groups it would be great if you were able to organize them by date, as well as, reason (cancelled / no show).
The best solution would have been to sort them out as we have when it comes to past and future bookings and by date but instead "cancelled" as one and "no show" as another one.

Adaptation of Vouchers for Agencies and Companies
We work with several companies and agencies, and we need to adjust the vouchers according to the specific conditions of each reservation. Currently, some companies pay by bank transfer, and we must adapt our documents accordingly.

Easier search through products
Hi Mewsers,
When searching through the product list I would find it very useful to be able to either filter or have it easy visible which products we are offering on our booking engine / guest portal.

Assign spaces to an availability block
We need the OPTION to pre-allocate rooms in an availability block. By the time we receive some rooming lists and pick-up the beds, other guests have already extended in a room and then ruined exclusivity in a section/floor; or if you sell beds in a hostel, the extensions have led to the availability block guests being split up over multiple different rooms.

Rate group and rate descriptions showing on the New reservation screen
Currently Mews does not show rate group description and rate description when multiple rates are available within one rate group. This is not ideal for any hotel that may have multiple properties to manage as well as multiple reservationists. Its unreasonable to expect for reservationists and multiple property management to remember or recall information that is vital to relay to the guest at time of booking. Most hotels have multiple rates so this is a feature that is 100% missing and required for Mews tobe competitive in the PMS market for groups and PMS for hotels.

Flexible base rate dependencies / nested base rate dependencies
Currently when a rate is setup as based upon another rate (base rate) it is only possible to setup one fixed adjustment. However, since we offer rates with and without breakfast, occupancy based adjustments need to be different between rates with and without breakfast (for example).
Wouldn’t a setup option be nice that allows to not derive all room / occupancy prices from the base rate, but only derive the base rate by a certain adjustment and setup the occupancy adjustments and room type adjustments.
So like:
Base rate: xyz-Rate (← the one the new rate is derived from)
