  1. the monthly timeline is already a lot better to deal with long-stay enquiries, however, we have just oversold our property due to the fact that a short stay was not showing up on the monthly time line. we thought we had the full three months available when we didn't.
    this is of course not acceptable meaning we are not able to use the monthly view.
    may i suggest perhaps a weekly view? or just make the fields smaller (half or quarter their current width).

  2. When you have regular or returing guests it is very unconvenient and unwelcoming that the automatic settlement failure emails are automattically send to the guest, even if the card is on file. Guests do not want to endlesy update theire details again and again and again as they are expecting that after a couple of stays everything is fine for them.

    Solution: allow the Mews Merchant to charge the card linked to the guest and not linked to the reservation.

  3. Tenemos dos edificios y cada mes, cuando debemos liquidar iva, debemos abrir una a una las facturas que nos arroja el informe de Mews, porque en el excel que nos exporta el sistema, no especifica en ninguna celda, en cual edificio el cliente se hospedo. Esto, sobre todo en temporada alta, nos retrasa muchísimo el trabajo. Por favor agreguen esta celda y ayúdenos agilizar nuestras tareas adminitrativas. Gracias!!!

  5. If a reservation is made outside of the Availability Block for there to be a way to add it into the picked up reservations after the fact.

  6. As a house use, could you please have a new category called " Complementary" on availabity/occupancy report. Today I use a special rate, and I have to go on reservation overvieww and check one by one. In your internal report, we want an occupancy rate, and Average daily rate without Complementaries rooms.

  7. The billing screen does not show the dates on additional services postings, I have to click on preview all the time, and it's not clear when the guest stays long time to dispatch bills

  8. It would be great if we can consolidate hotelpackages, so on the invoice it would only say e.g. Winter-Special, and the guest cannot see how much goes to roomnight and F&B in the package, only citytaxes should be split up.
    Also roomnight shouldn't be many times a seperate line but should just say Roomnight and then the number of nights and the total rate.

  9. Some stay products are only used by management or certain reservation agents.
    Now all other agents and staff have to go through a long list of products to find the product that they need for the booking. Therefore it would be much easier if you could offer certain products only to management or certain employees.

  10. The donut on the right in mews shows how complete the guest profiles are. However, when you click on the GIH donut to have a detail, it shows you the arriving profiles as well. In order to see the actual GIH, you still need to change the filters. This is not logical, as you are clicking on GIH, mews should apply the filters accordingly and only show the profiles of the guests who are actually in house at that moment.

  11. Availability blocks currently only allow the option to enter 1 specific rate for a block. Since we operate with different rates based on roomtypes, and a group often combines roomtypes, it would be great being able to select multiple rates.
    Also offering a group to book online with a discount based on public rates, it would be good to be able to offer them both a discounted flexible rate and a discounted non-refundable rate.

  12. In terms of standardization, there is no option to select name or short name, the short name will display on the timeline when the name does not fit. Same for all others screens on the PMS. Pending on how much space there is within relevant window, the space name could show in 3 different ways i.e "standard queen room" - "B1B" or even just "B" (for the timeline) if there is only 1 space within this category.

  14. Have a commission module to have the ability to track third party bookings commission (and very handy when it comes to verify accuracy of third party invoice and/or make amend where required)

  16. It would be convenient to receive a notification if the occupancy reaches a certain percentage on a certain day. (e.g. if 60% OCC is reached on a certain day, you receive an email to notify you).

  17. For reporting purposes and data analysis, it would be good to have the possibility to chose whether or not we want to incl/excl OOO rooms. At the moment, MEWS deducts this automatically

  18. For every reservation that is on timeline, it would be nice if there was some form of a payment status descriptor so that our front desk staff can visually recognize which reservations have fully paid and which haven’t.

    For example:
    A fully paid reservation could have a “green” dot
    An unpaid booking could have a “red” dot
    A failed transaction could have a “black “ dot

    At this moment we have to manually enter the reservation and go to the payments tab to check if the reservation is fully paid or not. This takes time for each booking and is…

  19. If we make an optional reservation for our guests and send them our offer. The guests confirm the reservations through the link but the responsible employee/department do not get any information or notification, so it is problematic to keep track of these bookings. It would be great to get atleast a pop up notification if the guests confirm there reservations. This information is essential for internal planning for almost every property.
