Relative deposit amount
A calculator inside Mews number fields. For example, when creating a 30% deposit, we have to use a calculator. Having the ability to do the calculation inside Mews would save a lot of time.

Include order totals in New Order screen
"As service orders are created, sometimes there are multiple items included in one ticket. Currently, there is no indication of total cost for multiple-item orders, however adding this piece of information could help keep users informed before anything is finalized."

Automatically Assign Company Profile When Using a Voucher, Regardless of Selected Rate
Currently, Mews only automatically assigns the company profile to a reservation if the guest selects the specific corporate rate linked to the voucher. However, when a guest uses a voucher but chooses a public rate (e.g., “Website Promo”), the company profile is not automatically applied. This results in extra manual work and potential errors in billing and reporting.
Why is this important?Ensures accurate billing and reporting for corporate bookings.
Reduces manual intervention and the risk of human error.
Improves efficiency for both hotel staff and corporate clients.

Splitting a reservation to allow a room change should NOT create a new reservation. It is not operationally efficient and makes no logical sense. Creating a new reservation leads to several issues:
If the invoice is already closed, it generates a credit note.
If the invoice is still open, it splits it into two invoices.
When analyzing data for important decision-making, it distorts the results because you end up with a new reservation that is not real. It alters metrics such as booking lead time, pickup, and more.
I strongly believe this is an issue that MEWS should address

Booking engine guest journey
It would be nice to turn around to guest journey in the booking engine, so the guest are presented for the different prices and/or packages first and then then can select which room type they would prefer.
Adding a calendar to show prices would also be great.

Copy the number of ID to TAX identifier
So every night I have to copy the person ID number of every reservation that is checking out that day, to close bills properly during the morning check-out time.
My point is... Could it exist an automation that once you complete an ID / Passport number, it is copied to the TAX identifier directly?

Flexible Room Sorting
Currently, the way room numbers are sorted in Mews is fixed and there is no way to change it quickly. It would be helpful to be able to sort rooms numerically, alphabetically or by floor and to allow for quick changes between these displays for different workflows.

Prevent feedback surveys from disrupting staff workflow
MEWS is very often asking for Feedback in a small window and asks how likely it is, that I would recommend MEWS regarding to the action I just took.
I really love MEWS, and like to involve and help.
I always have to either rate or cancel this window, and if a couple of tasks is going on, or more than one customer is before me, my workflow is really disturbed. It would be lovely if you'd ask not so often or in another way.
I know it is not really a idea, but I wanted to offer other Mewsers…8 votes
