Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  2. After the last upgrade of mews. It is not possible to extend an upgraded person in the upgraded category as Mews moves the booking to the originally booked room (regardless if blocked or not )

  3. When we need to cancel an overnight stay or remove a product from the billing, we are forced to post a negative charge and close, which produces an invoice. I don't want to produce an invoice with a value of 0. I should be able to simply remove the posting in order to correct my invoice.
    Very important!!

  4. There is an option to 'check out with unbalanced bill' and the option to put a reason for this. It would be useful if this created a a notification or task for a manager to alert them of this.
    Also would be handy to be able to review a report with the reasons.

  5. Housekeeping - assigning multiple employees (ie. 2) to the same space.

    Housekeeping would like to assign two housekeeping employees to the same room i.e. one for the bathroom and one for the remaining of the room.

  6. Able to change rate in existing reservation for future dates - currently this is not possible when an invoice has been raised and you are obliged to split the reservation. for long stays this is a nightmare and distorts the arrival/departure figures plus confuses housekeeping

  7. I suggest being able to include as a prominent feature the origin of the client's reservation for room assignment.
    The inventory of our establishments may be reduced due to COVID 19 and I would like to be able to "reward" my direct clients with the best rooms in each room type.

  8. At the moment, if you want to block a space as OOO the space has to be empty. This is really frustrating if you have a big space, eg our 28 bed dorm. I need to unallocate/upgrade all bookings first. It would be easier if I could mark the space as OOO first, then any reservations that can fit into other spaces of this type would be automatically moved. Everything else would sit unallocated for me to upgrade when I'm ready.

  9. I see a lot of cool ideas from all Mews customers, but it would be so nice if any hotel could comment on each idea.

    If I put in a idea I need to wait a very long time for the voting process. What I would suggest, when a new idea is written by a hotel, is that Mews sends a message or emails to all its hotels (divided over several days to prevent spam emails). I am not looking at the new ideas a lot, because I am too busy with other things. If I would be notified I…

  10. It would be great when we are able to choose if we want to change the price per night with or without products. (we prefer without, but that has changed, probably for a good reason, to being able to choose would be fantastic.)

  11. In the previous version OOS-rooms
    Main screen/overview doesn't show the reason why OOS-rooms are OOS. In the previous version, staff could see whey a room was OOS and could anticipate instantly. Now they have to open the room to see, and that creates errors, especially as you then open the page in which they can make changes, rather than only consult.

  12. Is there a possibility to add "paid out" (money given out of the cashier) and "house use" (for internal expenses) in MEWS

  13. Whenever we have an outstanding bill (from Travel Agent for example) we have to move it to a fake profile until its closed. If we issue invoice without the payment it states that we have refund (in the billing and the payment report).
    This amount is the deducted even though we have not made a refund.

    I would suggest to make this action proper and not classify an outstanding as a refund as they are totally different concepts.

  14. Now all roomtypes with all room numbers are displayed when assigning a reservation.
    You should only see the rooms available for the roomtype that is active for that reservation. When giving an upgrade you should change the roomtype in the tab 'Properties' > space category. When you changed the roomtype, the rooms for that roomtype available will now be shown in the assignment bar.

  15. On smartphones, the extended version of the reservation module is not visible. By "extended version of the reservation module", I mean the right hand side when you open a reservation in Commander. It would be nice to be able to see it on mobile as well.

  16. Ability to set a fixed date for invoices due.

    Ex. Invoices due on 20th of the following month.

    All invoices raised in June 2019, will be due on 20th July 2019.

    Current setting only allows for a number of days post-closing.

  17. In Italy we are facing the issue, that each invoice has to be print out on a specific invpice paper and only one time. So the night receptionists have to keep track of all the bills closed on one day which they do by using the bill and invoices report. It would be even more helpful to have an extra column added with the amount of prints so that they don't have to click in each bill.
