1. Export time scedule

   We would need a more flexibel export time frame.
   As we would need for example the export for the atuel month, the next and the third month in a row on the reservation report.
   It would be great to set a flexibel time on the export.

6. Gestion des taxes : visualisation, clarté et flexibilité (comme dans Hotello)

   Problématiques actuelles :

   Visualisation partielle des montants sur les factures :
   Il est actuellement impossible de voir clairement le montant avant taxes sur les factures client. Cela nuit à la transparence pour les clients d’affaires et complique la gestion comptable.

   Gestion des tarifs taxes incluses :
   Il n’est pas possible de créer des tarifs taxes incluses non exonérés dans MEWS. Lorsque nous devons corriger un tarif ou ajuster une facture, nous sommes obligés de calculer manuellement les taxes à rebours pour que le montant total corresponde à celui prévu. Cela génère un risque d’erreurs et une perte de temps.

   Manque de ventilation claire des différentes taxes :
   Dans certains contextes fiscaux comme au Québec, plusieurs taxes coexistent (TPS, TVQ, taxe d’hébergement). Ces taxes devraient être indiquées séparément et nommées explicitement sur les factures et dans les rapports.

   Améliorations souhaitées :

   ✅ Visualisation claire des montants HT et TTC sur toutes les factures, avec un affichage distinct des montants avant taxes, des taxes, et du total.

   ✅ Option de créer des tarifs “taxes incluses” sans qu’ils soient considérés comme exonérés, avec calcul automatique des portions de taxes selon les taux paramétrés.

   ✅ Gestion avancée des types de taxes :

   Ajouter et nommer plusieurs taxes distinctes (ex. : TPS 5 %, TVQ 9.975 %, taxe hébergement 3.5 %) ;

   Affecter les taxes selon les types de produits (hébergement, repas, activités, etc.) ;

   Appliquer ou non certaines taxes selon des règles (clients d’affaires, agences, longue durée, etc.).

   ✅ Rapports exportables avec ventilation claire par type de taxe, période et produit, pour faciliter la comptabilité.

   🎯 Objectif :
   Offrir un système fiscal plus clair, souple et adapté aux réalités locales, qui évite les calculs manuels, diminue les erreurs et facilite le service client.

   Current Issues:

   Limited tax visibility on invoices:
   At the moment, it's not possible to clearly display the amount before taxes (net amount) on client invoices. This reduces transparency, especially for business clients, and complicates internal accounting.

   Inability to configure tax-inclusive prices properly:
   There is no way to create tax-inclusive rates that are not tax-exempt. When we need to adjust a rate or invoice, we are forced to manually back-calculate the taxes to make the final amount match what was initially intended. This is time-consuming and error-prone.

   Lack of clear tax breakdown:
   In regions like Québec (Canada), multiple taxes apply (e.g., GST 5%, QST 9.975%, lodging tax 3.5%). These taxes should be clearly itemized and labeled on both invoices and in reports.

   Suggested Improvements:

   ✅ Display net and gross amounts clearly on all invoices, with a breakdown of pre-tax price, individual tax amounts, and total.

   ✅ Add the ability to create “tax-inclusive” rates without automatically marking them as tax-exempt, and automatically calculate tax portions based on the configured rates.

   ✅ Advanced multi-tax configuration options:

   Add and name several distinct tax types (e.g., GST 5%, QST 9.975%, lodging tax 3.5%);

   Apply different tax rules based on product category (accommodation, meals, activities, etc.);

   Allow for tax exemptions by rule (e.g., corporate clients, agencies, long-stay guests).

   ✅ Exportable reports that include a clear tax breakdown by type, product, and period — ideal for bookkeeping and monthly remittances.

   🎯 Goal:
   Provide a clearer, more flexible and locally adapted tax system that reduces manual calculations, prevents errors, and improves both operational efficiency and the customer experience.

8. Differentiate reservations based on payment method, not only by rate group

   As we have learned from the MEWS support team, it is not possible to differentiate reservations by payment type in the POS; differentiation is only possible by rate group. This limitation prevents us from implementing an efficient payment automation that would perform pre-authorizations or charges exclusively on the cards of reservations under the "direct payment at the hotel" model. As a result, we are unable to ensure that other reservations — those that have already been prepaid through an OTA, either via credit card or Virtual Card — are not negatively impacted.

   Our request is to be able to differentiate reservations by payment method in order to resolve this issue and prevent potential problems such as missed payments, double charges, or causing confusion for the guest.

9. surcharge

   Currently, when processing external card payments, users must manually add a surcharge, which can be inconvenient and prone to error. My proposal is to introduce an option—similar to the “Add Credit Card Surcharge” feature available under “Process Payment”—directly within the external card payment workflow. This feature would automatically calculate and apply the appropriate surcharge based on preset criteria, streamlining the payment process and reducing manual input. It will enhance user experience, ensure consistency in surcharge application, and minimize errors.

10. PSP fraud

    Enhance Mews’ payment processing capabilities that allows to:

    Consume structured payment data from Booking Engine via existing API.

    Recognize external payments processed via PSP and properly flag them as settled within Mews.

    Prevent Mews from triggering settlement policies when a deposit policy is applied.

11. Move payments from payment link to bill with charges

    When you send a payment link to a checked out guest, it would be great if the payment was posted in the same bill as the items. As it is now it openes up a new bill and we have to move them togheter and close. It would also be great it the bill could be closed.

12. Allow change of default payment method

    When we want to enter a payment the default selected payment method is "online payment". However most of our payments are made via Mews Terminal and we should be able to change the default selected payment method to Mews Terminal (or any other payment method). It would allow us to save time and avoid errors in the processing of payments.

    At the Point of Sale or Via Billing or Payment Screen: When you make a purchase in a foreign country, the payment should offer visible conversions of the transaction amount before the user posts it - especially for cash transactions.

16. terminal payment - too many obligatory information

    when a client pays with a new credit card at the terminal, it should be enough to choose the type of the credit card and not entering the last 4 digits plus the cardholder name. it's too many steps to fill in, all with the client curious, what you're typing in the system as he has already paid.

19. Credit card authorization

    We have many guests staying with us for months. Mews only keeps authorization for incidental charges for up to 28 days. We'd like to be able to set it up for longer than that.
