Visual indicator for future bills in the Departure view
When a guest has multiple stays within a short timeframe, the Departure/Check-out screen displays all open bills associated with the profile. Currently, it is difficult to distinguish between a bill that must be settled now (for the current stay) and a bill belonging to a future reservation.
To verify this, staff must manually navigate to the guest's profile and check the "Billing" tab. This adds unnecessary clicks and creates a risk of charging guests for future stays prematurely.
We propose a clear visual indicator or a "Future" label next to bills that are linked to upcoming reservations.

Enable compliant card retention for Paymaster profiles with repeat business use cases
Please improve card retention behavior for Paymaster profiles by introducing a compliant way to retain cards for repeat corporate use, even when not tied to a reservation lifecycle—while still ensuring cards are disabled appropriately based on security and regulatory requirements.
Impact:
- Allow properties to designate a card as intended for ongoing/repeat business use (with a way to confirm and justify the cardholder's consent), where there is a legitimate expectation of future charges (over a reasonable period).
Differentiate between:
- One-time payment cards
- Cards stored for ongoing/repeated corporate/payment relationships within a reasonable (?) period.

Send a payment link to phone number
It would be great if we could have the option to send payment links either to a phone number or an email address. Sometimes we only have a guest's phone number and no email, so having this flexibility would make the process much easier for us.

Guests can use MEWS Gift Voucher as payment method in Booking Engine
We are happy in using MEWS Booking Engine across multiple properties.
We recently added MEWS Gift Voucher integration and will be launching it on our property websites soon.
We hope to streamline the process of redeeming the vouchers. A voucher payment method in the booking engine would be awesome!

Pop up on MEWS when payment is declined
When a guest pay at the hotel by a terminal and it gets declined, its not showing it at Mews as a pop up. I would like a big pop up in mews when a card is declined. I

Take the CCV and cardholder's address & postcode in order to fully validate the card over the phone
Many payments seem to be stuck in 'verifying'. Can Mews Payments take the CCV and cardholder's address & postcode in order to fully validate the card when taken over the phone?

Pre authorization renewal
Automatic pre authorization renewal after expiration, as long as the check-out date is not in the next 28 days .
Maximum 28 days is not enough when the booking is in 3-4 months or later.
Or maybe add an alert on the task manager as soon as the expiration occurs to make the hotel decides if he renews or not.2 votes -

Ability to disable payment methods we don't use
We should be able to select the payment methods we use and disable those we don't.

Ability to choose when preauthorisation should expire
Right now, preauthorizations will expire by default after 7 days. It would be great if we could choose that these preauthorizations expire after X number of days (for example, 24 hours after check-out).

Credit Card from guests sent to Mews via OTAs should also go through 3DS
The 3DS is currently enabled only for reservations made through the Booking Engine and Guest Portal. Ideally, when a guest books through an OTA, the OTA should send the credit card details to Mews, with those details also passing through 3DS for added security. At the moment, they are not as the card issuer bank can choose not to add this security layer.

Currently, when processing external card payments, users must manually add a surcharge, which can be inconvenient and prone to error. My proposal is to introduce an option—similar to the “Add Credit Card Surcharge” feature available under “Process Payment”—directly within the external card payment workflow. This feature would automatically calculate and apply the appropriate surcharge based on preset criteria, streamlining the payment process and reducing manual input. It will enhance user experience, ensure consistency in surcharge application, and minimize errors.

Restrict credit card refunds/payments to be invoiced
It should not be possible to invoice payment lines in billing.

Allow change of default payment method
When we want to enter a payment the default selected payment method is "online payment". However most of our payments are made via Mews Terminal and we should be able to change the default selected payment method to Mews Terminal (or any other payment method). It would allow us to save time and avoid errors in the processing of payments.

Send link for credit card (no payment)
Have the option to send a link to the payment portal without amount, so the guest can enter their credit card securely. This is especially important for reservations via phone or email.
