If a guest arrives early and his room is not yet ready for check-in, it would be great to have an automated message, sent to the guest the moment his room is ready for check-in. This way the guest can leave the house again to explore the area and the moment, his room is ready, he will be notified and can come back to the hotel.

GROUP QUOTATIONS - Mews Booking Engine
Groups quotations links are working a miracle. However, there is potentially simple and significant space for improvement.
When guest follows the link, in Mews BE nothing presellected and guest have to go over and over and add the room types and pax. Even if they will select correct number of pax, but locate just 1 to different room type as per what the quotation was prepared for, it won't go through and you won't know why. If, however all will be preselected, guest would only have to go through the extras and payment pages.

Line spacing in product description in online check-in
When you write the description of a product, you can add spaces between lines of text. However when the description of the product is viewed in the online portal where the guest can purchase it, the spaces are removed and the text appears as a single block. HTML or markdown coding does not fix this. It would be good if the line spaces entered in the description were replicated in the guest portal.

Allow products to be bought per person rather than based on number of people in the room e.g room is booked for 2 people but only 1 person want a massage which is an extra. Currently you can only book 1 if you choose once or per person and it is based on the number of people in the room

Authorized Credit Card Required at reservation creation
Provide an option to hotels where, in order to create a reservation (even through Commander), an authorization code with an authorizable credit card should be required and part of the 3 step reservation creation process.
And, only certain users (or an override password) should be allowed to select an alternate payment method such as cash / directbill, etc.
However, one way or another, at least an indication of payment method should be part of and required in the 3 step reservation creation process in commander.

Need to be able to edit the word "categories"
We need to be able to edit the term "categories" - my hotel is 13 rooms and they're all unique so they're all their own categories and users, when they are invited to explore other rooms with availability it reads "other categories with availability" which to the user makes no sense. One simple field in the back end for how to refer to "categories" would make a huge difference for our business.

Travel Buddies connected. connect guest profiles
A lot of People always travel together like spouse or friends.. With mews the fellow travellers gets lost except the person who uses mews knows that Person A is always traveling with person B. It would be fine that there is an option to connect guest profiles.

search messages
a search function in the messages would be very helpful - or being able to see whether a guest has sent a message through MEWS in their profile/reservation.
For example if a guest asks to cancel and a cancellation/no-show fee would apply it would he useful to be able to check whether and when they requested this.

verify guests before they check in
Properties in the US and Canada verify identification of each guest who have made a reservation. Mews doesn't support automatic verification of guests making contacless check-in natively in Mews not sufficient.
There is no possibility of any information from ID to be scanned; or the identity of a guest verified upon arrival.

rate description to be added as internal note in reservation
In hotels with many (corporate) rates where every rate has different cancellation terms, different benefits etc...front desk staff has difficulties to know what benefits are linked to certain rates. Displaying the rate description as a note in each reservation would help Front Desk to correctly inform guest.
Specific example: if a company with a corporate rate is entitled to a discount on our parking price (when the guest uses parking), it would be useful that when a reservation is created with that company rate...an automatic note appears: corporate rate with breakfast, 6PM cancellation policy and 10% on parking.

Receive Notification about Mews Kiosk Check-Ins
When a guest checks in via MEWS Kiosk we do not receive any information (mail?) about the check in. During the CI process a registration form is filled out and signed with all the necessary data for the registration to the city. All Registration forms of each day are digitally collected. Due to the CI via Kiosk it is hard for our receptionists to keep track of all the registration forms and collect them daily.

2-way enhanced integration
We have been experiencing a lot of difficulties due to the so called auto-replenishment tool at Booking.com which cannot be deacticated. They basically sends the cancelled rooms/beds back to sales without waiting for an update from PMS first. It can lead to mismatch in the actually available inventory. This can happen especially in the situations when we e.g. upgrade reservations to other room categories. This change is not being sent to the channel manager/Booking.com at the moment.

Add Travel Agency Data to Voucher Reservations
Vouchers can be associated with companies or travel agencies (instead of being public). However, currently, when a voucher is used to book a reservation, there is no voucher information or company / travel agency information attached to that reservation in Mews.
It would be very helpful if company / travel agency and voucher codes could be attached to reservation data and if those voucher-based reservations can be searched for through the reservations reports.
