  1. The main guest should be able to invite a companion to complete Online check in regardless of whether it is required or not for the property's legal environment.

    This will allow properties who currently don't have this option to have a better check in experience for both guests staying on the reservation.

  3. Let the hotels decide if the guest's e-mail should be optional instead of default at the kiosk.

    Since it's not a legal requirement in DK it's critical for us that we cannot change it in the "Check-in form"

  4. It would be great if a link / website integration could be created so guests can manage their reservations by going to the hotels' website. This would be a handy feature, especially as people cannot find their confirmation mails and such from time to time.

  5. Please stop creating several profiles for already existing guests. I know that this is based on the e-mail address and Booking creates a new e-mail address when a guest makes a new reservation, but this makes it impossible to track who's a regular guest and who's coming back when.

  6. We use "reservation notes" to communicate between shifts. Sometimes notes are important ONLY for reception staff. Sometimes notes are important ONLY for housekeeping staff. It would be good to be able to split notes keeping this in mind. For Housekeeping staff notes, they should appear on the "guest in house" reports, so teams get briefed daily on what to do in each room.
    For Reception staff notes, it would be better to have them pop up when opening a reservation, to be sure they are read before check-in/check-out.

  7. When we decided to use Mews, a big point was the booking engines features. When searching for a room for 3 or 4 persons, only rooms having 3 or 4 beds where shown for booking.
    Without telling anybody about the change, Mews now shows also rooms having pnly two beds and asked the guest to book more rooms. If a family wants to stay at our resort, the want a room/apartment having 3 or 4 beds, not 2 seperated apartments with 2 beds each. So please make it possible to change this. It's confusing for families 2 adults and 2…

  8. When a guest uses the online check-out he/she has no company details at all, while the company name is already in the reservation. Would be good when the guest sees the company name without being able to edit it. Otherwise he thinks the company is not in the reservation and we risk that he/she changes the guest name for the company name.

  9. If reservations are made far in advance it may occure that a guests credit card won't be valid anymore when the payment is due. Therefore, a task should be created when a card is expired, so we can contact the guests and ask them to update their card details. In an ideal world, an email template could be created so this can be automated.

  10. Allow products to be bought per person rather than based on number of people in the room e.g room is booked for 2 people but only 1 person want a massage which is an extra. Currently you can only book 1 if you choose once or per person and it is based on the number of people in the room

  11. Very often husband and wife or companions and/or children do travel together. In mews I see when main guest is "Returning" Guest. In this case I would like mews to automatically suggest names of other people who stayed with them the last times. This information could also be stored in Guest profile on his/her own page of mews. Since it is now the 3rd year we are using mews, more and more guests are returning and it would be of good service not to have to ask again information about companions and children who stayed already

  12. In hotels with many (corporate) rates where every rate has different cancellation terms, different benefits etc...front desk staff has difficulties to know what benefits are linked to certain rates. Displaying the rate description as a note in each reservation would help Front Desk to correctly inform guest.

    Specific example: if a company with a corporate rate is entitled to a discount on our parking price (when the guest uses parking), it would be useful that when a reservation is created with that company rate...an automatic note appears: corporate rate with breakfast, 6PM cancellation policy and 10% on parking.

  13. Apple Pay stores information such as address, email, phone number on the phone of the guest. Apple Pay also allows sharing this information with 3rd party application.

    It would be great if Mews can pull this information to get the information from the guest and further automate the journey for the guest.

  15. Please allow properties to disable the online check-in function at the guest portal.

    It is great that guests can access the guest portal, use the chat, see the reservations and fill in personal details as well as personal details of the other members that are traveling.

    We would like to keep the "chat with us" placeholder in the confirmation and prearrival email templates so guests can access the guest portal, check their reservations, chat with our reservations' team and fill in personal information, but deactivate the online check-in option.

    By default the online check-in is not activated when the reservation…

  16. Currently, there are only a few options for how emails are automatically sent. It would be ideal if you could control which booking channels will automatically have emails delivered. For example, AirBnB has a very strict off-platform communication policy. If we could send emails automatically to everyone except AirBnB, or even tailor our emails granularity for each channel, that would be immensely beneficial.

  17. Guests complain sometimes that there are too many e-mails before arrival. When we ask, was there anything they found really unnecessary, they often refer to payment receipt e-mail. It doesn't even include the invoice. When booking, they accept the terms and know the payment will be taken from cc. Mostly they have also instant notification from bank to phone. Can we make this e-mail optional, please? Would be perfect if client can choose this option.

  18. The Mews T&C's need to be accepted by the guest when making a booking via the Mews Distributor. These T&C's are in English, but some guest find that hard to read. It would be great to have this available in local languages.

  20. To fasten the process of scanning data from guests documents, it would be great to have a professional device connected to the tablet, so the scanning is fast and reliable.
