  1. Currently, tasks in Mews can only be assigned a deadline or to close them. While this covers the basic workflow, it leaves a gap in team communication and task visibility.

    I’d like to suggest introducing an additional task status, for example, “In Progress” to indicate when someone has already started working on a task.

    Why this would be valuable:

    Improved coordination: Prevents multiple team members from picking up the same task unknowingly.

    Transparency: Makes it clear which tasks are actively being worked on versus those still pending.

    Clear lifecycle: Having statuses such as To Do → In Progress → Done…

  2. It should be possible to remove a guest from a group.
    Cancelation and rebooking is not a logical process. The canceled booking stays forever in the group, doesn´t it?

    Shouldn´t be to hard to develop. ;-)

  3. To better assist Rental Properties (Monthly Bookable Period) - it would be useful to consider creating an AR page that would
    (1) allow clients to review the accounts and bills by month,
    (2) run invoices by batch,
    (3) Bulk Issue Invoices, and
    (4) improve billing automation to allow multiple (up to 2) automations per Monthly bookable service.

  4. Product Checklist could have a wider set of functions such as ability to post directly to Profiles without a current reservation. And ability to post to Spacetime Reservations (not only Guest)

  5. There is a huge problem in Mews when it comes to availability blocks and overbooking.

    Right now, if you for example have all existing standard rooms blocked in an availability block, and then there is an overbooking of a standard room, this overbooking will not show on the availability overview. It will just say that the availability for standard rooms is 0, and not -1. So then if you look at the availability overview, it will say for example that we have 0 standard rooms available and 1 superior room, so it looks like we have one room available, but…

  6. Currently, there is a hidden character limit for the Directions field in the configuration page of a space. When exceeding the limit, there is no warning & after saving the field resets to empty. Displaying the character limit will help stay within the boundaries and save time re-entering the directions to the Space.

  7. Would it be possible to configure fixed start and end dates for the "voucher" booking engines?

    To improve the guest experience when promoting a time-limited rate, it would be ideal to define a default start date for the voucher that aligns with the start of the promotion. If the selected date is before this, the default would adjust to the actual current date.

    Likewise, if a user searches for availability beyond the promotion’s end date, rather than showing a generic “No availability” message, it could display “Sorry, this offer has expired” with a redirect link to the main booking engine.

  8. When you have the departure list open and select multiple rooms you sometimes get an error message that one room can not be checked out if it is already checked out or have an open biil. It would be great if the system checked out the remaning rooms that have been selected so you don't have to start over from the beginning if the page is not updated and you have selected multiple rooms for check out

  9. Proposal: Customize Stayover Room Cleaning Status Automation

    Currently, stayover rooms are automatically set to “dirty” or “uninspected” after one night. This default behavior creates unnecessary confusion for the housekeeping team and results in inefficient workflows.

    Key Issues:

    Unnecessary Cleaning:
    The system automatically changes every stayover room’s status to “dirty” or “uninspected,” which can lead to cleaning being performed even when the guest has not requested it.

    Inefficient Workflow:
    Housekeeping staff must spend extra time identifying which rooms require cleaning since all rooms are flagged automatically, without considering whether they are truly in need of service.

  11. I’d like the Out of Service function to work more like the Out of Order function, with the ability to set a start and stop date/time. The room should remain bookable, but it would be really helpful if the reason and timeframe were displayed more visibly on the timeline screen.

    This would be a game changer for our maintenance team’s ability to communicate with the front desk. Sometimes they’re working in a room that we still want to keep sellable, and having a clear, visible note on the timeline would make it much easier to seamlessly share that information between…

  12. The relevant department is currently not displayed in the task list within the reservation. So if I want to know who the task is written for, I have to open it individually.
    It would be nicer if there was a column for the department in the overview.

  14. I don't know why the rate management screen has been changed but it's dreadful. I used to be able to click on individual days and quickly change the price but now can't. Can it be changed back please? Or give a quick edit option?

  15. I am reaching out to request a feature update that would allow rates to be suppressed on reservations. This functionality is very important to our daily operations, as many of our corporate accounts prefer to book reservations for their associates without disclosing the rate to them.

    This capability was available to our corporate clients in our previous PMS, and the inability to suppress rates now creates challenges and can negatively impact our business relationships with these clients.

  16. a direct way to set minimum length of stay restrictions that depend on the booking window—for example, enabling 1-night stays when booked within a week of arrival but requiring a 2-night minimum otherwise. lead-time-specific rules would make for a better occupancy and facilitate further processes.

  17. Hi,

    It would be great to see at a glance the gateway state of a bill sent on the guest/company dashboard.
    We can see it was “sent” but it doesn’t mean it was received.

    Gateway State let us know when dropped - for example, there was a typo in the email address

    We could more easily identify when invoices have never reached our customers.

    Do you think that would be feasible?

  18. After a phising attack, or an unallowed log in into the system, it would be helpful when MEWS sends immediately a note to the affected user and parallel to a defined admin user and a general mailaccount. We made the experience that after a phising attack there was lost a lot of time.
    6 days after the attack to a login from a user we got the information to one undefined Admin User who is working part time on Friday Evening. 10 more days later we got further information also to non specifc Admin user. In case of a cyber…

  19. Have a column for space status in the check out report so that the reception can see if the room has been cleaned or not . If the guest did leave without checking out and hk has cleaned the room, it automatically makes it dirty if we check the room out, therefore to make sure/make it easier to see the room status so that the reception can change the status back to inspected without having to click in to each reservation.

  20. As one of the individual permissions, give the option to restrict exporting reports. With the current phishing attempts it is very important to limit who can export reservations reports.
