Top/Frequent Guest Report
Would be very useful to have a report in Mews that lists our hotel's most loyal guests, who have stayed/spent the most. This would make it easier to identify the guests e.g. for recognition purposes.

Add the associated account to the bill over the API
Adding this to the API will ensure that the correct name will be added in the invoice when we close the bills automatically.

Make group bookings more visible in the Timeline
It would be great if you could highlight group bookings with a different colour in the Timeline to make it easier to get an overview of group bookings.
So when a guest has more than one house, the booking changes to a different colour on the Timeline

Fast forward to overbooked reservation in timeline
it would be a nice feature, if we had the function to klick on the red bar (when overbooked in a category) in the timeline to fast forward directly to the (next) overbooked reservation.
Currently we have to do it like that:

Include Optional Bookings Data in Availability & Occupancy Report Export
Currently the 'Optional Reservations' and 'Optional Blocks' are available in the dashboard view of the Availability & Occupancy Report. However, this data is not included in the export. Please make this data available in the export as well so we can work with it.

Remove rights to optimize space allocation
We would like to be able to change the optimize space allocation function in Timeline so that you can assign it as a Permission under roles.

Confirmation package without listing all products included
I would like a confirmation for packages without mentioning all products from the reservation. These products are set as “Bill as package” anyway and are not shown separately on the guest's bill either. Just mentioning the rate name and total amount on the confirmation would be sufficient. Perhaps with the extension of the textual content of the package.

Company owned reservations
Make company owned reservations possible.
It will allow to manage corporate clients more effectively by associating company profiles with reservations.

Add a permission for overriding reservation rules
If there are certain rules such as a minimum stay of 5 nights. For a room, for example, two nights are free. It would be good if certain positions (management) could still make bookings and override these rule

Add a segment field in the Availability Block
Currently, the availability block creation flow in Mews does not include a segment field. While adding a segment field could improve categorization and reporting, properties should have the flexibility to configure this field as either mandatory or optional based on their operational needs.
For properties that rely heavily on segment-based reporting, making the field mandatory ensures consistency and better data quality. However, for others, the additional step might complicate workflows, especially since reservations often need to be updated manually after creation.
Suggestion: Introduce a configurable setting that allows properties to decide whether the segment field should be mandatory or optional…

Make new "last minute" arrivals arriving today more visible on the arrivals list?
Can you make new "last minute" arrivals for today more visible on the arrivals list?
- Arrivals made between yesterday 00:00 and today are not easy to see unless you check the reservation report, which is not user friendly in a fast pace environment.
- Can they be marked in the system with a symbol or color or notification (or in any other way) for us to be notified on the day?

Group rates/restrictions
I would like to create a rate for groups and specify in the restrictions that the rate can only be booked from a certain number of rooms or persons. If you could also specify in the exceptions that a rate only applies from a certain number of people or up to a certain number of people, that would be great.

Check out Button nach dem Schließen einer Rechnung
Es wäre von Vorteil den Button zum Check-out (zusätzlich) auf der Seite zu finden, welche sich nach dem Schließen einer Rechnung öffnet. So spart man sich das ganze "zurück Klicken" bis man unter dem Status-Fenster den Gast auschecken kann.
Das würde den Check-out Prozess schneller und einfacher machen.31 votes -

there are too many clicks considering how often we do this and having to go back to click check out after sending an invoice is super annoying and can often mean forgetting. Also please make the check out button another color, it would help more than you can imagine!

Creating the same task for the whole group
We have a bunch of big groups coming which all have the same task set up, for different departments (e.g. housekeeping and reception). It would be great to be able to make the same task once for the whole group, instead of doing 30-40 tasks individually. The same would go for if we need to make the same task for multiply departments, it would make it easier to just choose the corresponding departments.

TIP as category
It should be possible to book TIP or expenses.
Currently, Mews does not recognise this booking type, which means that we have to calculate everything manually and book via detours. This harbours great potential for error.Expense postings must be deducted directly from the cash register contents.

Store and pull reports for guest allergies
We need a way to notate guest allergies in their profiles and pull reports. At minimum, we need a way to be able to pull a PRINTABLE report that includes reservation notes, where we are currently noting allergies for our kitchen and housekeeping staff. This is vital to operations for our property and for our kitchen specifically. Our chef currently has no way to efficiently and effectively pull guest food allergies directly from Mews when he is writing the breakfast menu. We are forced to use a separate system which, naturally, causes food allergies to occasionally fall through the cracks…

Personenzahlen Tagesweise Anpassen
Es wäre hilfreich wenn Sich die Personenanzahl Tagesweise individuell anpassen lassen würde. Somit ist gegeben, dass die Personenanzahl im Haus immer Stimmt und Produkte sich automatisch anpassen. Gerade bei Kurabgabe und Frühstück ist dies entscheiden.
