  2. By now, Mews restrictions do not allow to set a specific day of the week you want to exclude. If you wish to make a % discount on Sunday night for example, you will have to close all other days on your restriction but travelers will not be able to book several nights including Sunday night. Very bad if you are looking to maximize length of stay and want to compensate those staying on Sunday.
    Mews team, please keep improving restrictions to allow us to combine various setups, it is so important! Thanks

  3. MEWS currently does not support allotment.
    For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. The alternative is to enter bookings as optional with release dates…

  4. Request to increase the Reservation Group Size. The current reservation group size of 500 reservations is not sufficient and is creating operational issues for large-size Hotel Venues.

  5. We need to be able to create multiple confirmations regarding, example: a confirmation for group reservations with other conditions than a reservation for only one room. This is a highly requested feature for the ability to send correct conditions regarding the reservations!

  6. At the moment an invoice can only be sent to customer email address. Sometimes companies request the invoice to be sent to booker and finance department. We need ability to cc more email addresses when invoice is sent.

  7. A guest booking with booking.com. The guest nationality is not transferred to the guests profile in Mews when using Mews's own booking.com integration. Booking.com clearly states the nationality of the guest with a flag and the country of origin's name.

  9. We have multi-property and 1 gmail account - payment failure notification emails are received without a property name so we have to go property by property to locate the booking which has a failed payment.

  10. Sometimes a guest messages us on the MEWS platform, and then calls and we are able to answer their enquiry over the phone.
    I would then like to be able to mark their message as completed without the guest having to see. This way the next person on front desk will not come along and think that the enquiry still needs to be answered.

  11. The room number tab column in the rooming list should be customisable as we have many operational issues with the room numbers appearing on it and clients expecting to have those rooms when they check in. We should be able to remove this column if not relevant.

  12. Persons arriving later to a unit than the already checked in people - cannot be added for only a part of the whole stay. Same with persons departing earlier than the other people of the same unit.
    Within in an apartement 2 people stay 2 nights 2 people stay 4 nights.

We have offers whereby we need to restrict on what day the arrival day can happen (i.e. no arrival on monday or tuesday). the offer may be valid for 6 days maximum, so we do not wish to close out on the monday and tuesday. we just need to be able to set the arrival day from wednesday to sunday.

  14. sometimes you may wish to move a product from one additional service category to another (for example if you add a new service category due to expending the products offered).
    at the moment this is not possible and you have to create a new one and delete the old one. not very time efficient and also messing up your reports as you could already have products booked.

  15. At the time, I can only create a restriction for one rate or rate group at a time. I would have to create multiple restrictions to cove two rate codes. For example, I would like to create a 2-night minimum for my Airbnb rate (Travel Agent Group) & all my rates that flow off the best flex rate. So I have to create 2 different restrictions and keep up with changing both when I make changes.

  16. For colour blind staff the dots for dirty, inspected, clean etc. do not help. It would be useful to hover over the room number to see the status rather than having to open each room.
    Currently the timeline is not accessible for colour blind.

  17. Now it is possible to use age categories. But these age categories just affects the room revenue. We need it also for products. For example child pricing: in a package (room + breakfast) not just the room rate should be reduced but also the product breakfast.

    Great solution would be like that: in the product rule, we should be able to choose, if the product "breakfast adult" would be added when there are just adults in the room and the product "breakfast child" would be added, when there is another age category choosed. So basically product addition in product rules…

  18. If we have to cancel an invoice, there should be an option to keep the products for the new invoice and not have to re-enter all the items. It happens so often that the guest calls and the invoice needs to be made out to the company after all and you have to re-enter everything. This needs too much time!!

  19. We would like to set a diffusive overbooking strategy without influencing the overall property occupancy, meaning that the guest will be able to always book the lowest category even though it is not available, untill all the highest categories are fully booked, without creating a total property overbooking. Summing up, we would like to separate the room type overbook (for example economy + 5) from the overall propoerty overbook (no overbook allowed at property level)

  20. we sometimes deal with an existing booking wishing to change unit types during their stay. even though they haven't checked in yet, it would be much easier if we were able to split the booking (and thus keeping all the notes) rather than having to duplicate the booking, copying the notes, adjust the dates, rates, etc..
