  1. As of now, there is no way to sell co-working desks and meeting rooms for 1-2 hours at a time, but only for half a day or an entire day. We need to have the option to be able to let the guest reserve the time needed in 1 hour slots.

  2. Create new possibilities for properties to rent their spaces for additional bookable times. Bookings by minute and hourly bookings.

    This will give properties more opportunities to increase their revenue.

  3. Bookable services can be deleted only if there is no reservation under them (including cancelled reservations).

    It is not possible to delete theme because access to these reservations might be needed in the future. However, it might be possible to deactivate/archive them, keeping the old data accessible in certain areas of the system.

    Hello, it's Martin here, from Mews.


    Today, we are releasing service deletion for services with past reservations.


    Bookable service can be deleted when there are no future or ongoing reservations attached to it. Also, there must be no automated exports, no service promotions and no integrations linked to the service.


    The functionality is only available to users with permission to create and manage services.


    Data from deleted services will disappear from almost all areas of the system, so use the functionality wisely :-) The data will only be visible in the manager report. Old reservations from a deleted service can also be accessed through the dashboard on the customer profile.

  4. Please allow reservations for 0 guests.
    Sometimes groups need extra rooms during the day for acitivities, however no guests are staying in those rooms. Therefore we would need to set the amount of guests to 0.

    Currently we have to use 'House Use' and post charges manually. However, this is incorrect for reporting purposes.

  5. We offer a 28% discount for stays of 7 nights plus as well as 30% discount when staying 29 nights plus.
    at the moment that means you have to set up different rates, which is not always ideal when working with a OTA or TOUR through your channel manager.
    is there anyway that this could be build in on Mews' side so that you are able to put in percentage discounts for certain lengths of stays (more than one per rate if possible)

  6. As we expand the capabilities of Space-Time on a frequent basis the use cases for it's usage grow. The current quota (or limit) of occupants that one can cap a Resource (Space) at is 100. This is not sufficient especially for properties offering Meeting and Events packages or using a Space for an event. There should be the capability to increase this further 100 occupants.

  7. As a short stay accommodation our guests stay at least 6 months with us. To create appropriate invoices, we are forced to combine 30/31 daily rates and move them to a new invoice. For 200 guests a year, this is really time consuming. Hopefully it will be possible to settle a fixed price for every month. This will extremely benefit the efficiency of Mews from our point of business.

  9. Each "service type" offered to a guest needs to be associated with a "space type". Current "space types" are limited to physical spaces only.

    Some services, such as "Experiences", could use additional "non-tangible space types". Clients would have the flexibility and freedom to offer tours, trips, etc. which could also be covered under the Spacetime project as they often times use the same logic as the physical space types = inventory, rate and bookable timeframe.

    Adding non-physical space types to the selection of "space types" would very likely increase usability of Spacetime.

  10. the monthly timeline is already a lot better to deal with long-stay enquiries, however, we have just oversold our property due to the fact that a short stay was not showing up on the monthly time line. we thought we had the full three months available when we didn't.
    this is of course not acceptable meaning we are not able to use the monthly view.
    may i suggest perhaps a weekly view? or just make the fields smaller (half or quarter their current width).

  11. Is it possible to add a Space Type Connecting Rooms which does not impact our hotel capacity?
    Example : we have connecting rooms based on 2 standard rooms, currently the connecting room add a space to our inventory which false our reports and global data.

    It would be great that the connecting rooms have a specific space type (composed of other spaces).

  12. In MEWS we have some old stay services which we dont use anymore but cannot delete because there are old reservations one.

    I tried to change the display order in the stay service settings however this doesnt pull through on all screens.
    E.g. homepage, reports and timeline.
    When we are working in the account we need to keep changing the view from the old stay service to the actual active stay service.

  13. once you have made a booking for a room, you seem to be unable to duplicate it and add a different service (like parking or cot). you should get the ability to change this when making the duplicate as the cot and parking are in general for the same dates as the room booking

    Hi, to create new reservation of another bookable service linked to a reservation of the accommodation, please, use Reservation group functionality. 


    You can use the same dates, details etc - just use the "Add another reservation" button in the Reservation flow.

  15. A hotel is not just rooms and beds. There are many resources in each hotel. There can be co-working spaces, parking lots, conference rooms, kitchens, sport courts, bikes or boats, sports equipment etc. (the list could be literally endless) and we want to manage them in the system and offer them to the guests just like we offer rooms and beds today. It would allow us to boost the non-accommodation revenue and diversify the hotel's business.

    Our Spacetime project is still being worked on. We are adding new time units (days, months, potentially hours), new space types, and optimize Mews to be ready to support various types of services. Feel free to upvote this topic if you wish to be updated about the progress and share your ideas in the comments!

  16. Currently, once created, bookable services can never be deleted. If you create some by accident you then have to live with them as they take up valuable up display real-estate (and increase the time it takes to figure out what to click on).

    Please introduce the option to delete those (either from the property or from the support level).

  17. Allow in the new spacetime for multiple automated no show charging. Currently customers can only select one accounting category for no show charging. When applying multiple business types in one system (which we do already), the system should also cater for multiple no show charges.

    Some time ago, you requested "kindergarten" to be added to the list of supported resource types. 


    For now, we will not implement this functionality. At the same time, we have a very good solution for this use case, already used by some of our customers. Please, let me know if you are interested in learning more details.

    Rate - Default Rate tax rate
    Product - Default Product tax rate
    Deposit - Default deposit tax rate
    CancellationFee - CNX fee tax rate
    NoShowFee - No-Show fee tax rate
    on the Service entity.

    Use a multi-value just like on Accounting setup of enterprise.

  20. Would it be possible to pay per month and not per night? For exampe, our tenants stay at our residence 6 or 12 months. One month costs €510,-. Now I have to calculate it back to the costs per night. So for every month I have to divide the €510,- by 28, 30 or 31 nights. This almost never ends on a rounded number wich makes it a lot of work and the chance of making a mistake or typo is big. Please let me know if this would be possible.
