House use

We had a "house use" block beginning held after our departure time and before our daily arrival time to perform some essential maintenance. Since then, we have managed to receive a booking the day prior and allows a stayover to the day that we had blocked for 4 hours! We had the house use in place so that we could still receive bookings departing and/or arriving that day but wanted to avoid stayovers. Mews have informed me "the house use is outside of the occupancy times and therefore it is not taken into account."

My request is:
If a house use is in place for 4 hours on any day, bookings that would become a stayover on that day are not possible.

This confuses me as to why this is not already a standard feature. I was told I would be provided with an alternative solution but that has not been provided either so it seems like no one has another option! Instead they have suggested that I create a feature request.
