  1. At the moment the restriction settings in MEWS are very complicated and extensive. When we try to close multiple rates that are within different Rate Groups (due to the settlement required) we have to close all rates individually. Our idea is to create Rate Buckets where you can add rates manually that only apply to restriction. This way, you can apply all restrictions on these Rate Buckets instead of on rate group or individual rates.

    Furthermore, it would be perfect if you can apply restrictions based on occupancy %. I.e. if hotel is 60% booked, I want to close all…

  2. To reinstate future bookings that were canceled (or marked as a no-show) up to one day after the original check-in date. This feature will simplify the procedure of amending booking that were not meant to be canceled. It will boost efficiency since clicking on a reinstate button, it is easier than creating a new booking.

  3. New update changed calendar/timeline colors to 50 shades of gray, why!!!???

    so,

    Out of order: dark gray
    Future stay: less dark gray
    checked out: light gray

    Why???

    Departures: light blue
    People checking in: light blue

    Who is designing your UI, probably same genius who designs your billing screens (old and new)

    We appreciate the feedback you and your teams have provided to us concerning the colors on the timeline.

    Our team has been working on adding additional colors to the timeline. The new updates have a wider array of brighter and more vivid colors, that will allow you to differentiate between your reservations with ease.

  4. Possibility to add notes without changing the room status is missing and necessary.

    P.a. if DND (do not disturb) or white card (when guest changes cleaning against free drink at bar) housekeeping needs to add the note to the status "dirty".

    At the moment you can only add notes when the status is changed.

  6. There should be a possibilty to round up rates as customors wish. As per example here in Switzerland the smallest coin is CHF 0.05. Some prices, e.g. set up with a percentage off the base rate, are shown as CHF 181.07

  7. It would be great to be able to choose consumption date and time when setting product rules - For example If the product should be added on arrival date or in the night.

    When you have a package that includes dinner at the arrival date it's not optimal to have the consumption date, by defualt set as the day after if the product is added through a product rule.

    As it is now this affects the product reports in a negative way.

  8. I think, the new billings view is illegible and I wish, the old view will stay for ever. It was easier. I don't know, why Mews is changing something what is working well!!

  9. At the moment an invoice can only be sent to customer email address. Sometimes companies request the invoice to be sent to booker and finance department. We need ability to cc more email addresses when invoice is sent.

  10. Sometimes a guest messages us on the MEWS platform, and then calls and we are able to answer their enquiry over the phone.
    I would then like to be able to mark their message as completed without the guest having to see. This way the next person on front desk will not come along and think that the enquiry still needs to be answered.

  11. The billing has changed and a lot of colleagues get confused using this new billing method. It is harder to see the companions on the same room when 2 guest are travelling together in one room. Sometimes the charges from F&B are booked on 2 different names in the same reservation. This can be easily forgotten on check out when very busy.
    The room number is also not visible in the billing. It would be nice to see a name and roomnumber. (sometimes there are 2 bookings under the same name)

    We would love to change back to the old…

    Thank you for your comments and feedback regarding the billing screen.

    We have released an update resolving issues where the room names and room numbers were missing from the billing screen.

    The new billing screen has 2 main views, group billing and individual billing.

    From the group billing screen, you will be able to view a list of all bill items for reservation owners and companions. The group billing screen can be accessed from the billing tab on the top right hand side of the reservations screen.

    The group billing screen shows all bill items for a group for the current stay period. Whereas as the individual billing screen (which can be accessed by selecting the billing icon next to a guests name), will show you all bill items from current, previous and future reservations.

  12. Our invoices need to be emailed directly to companies (i.e. Travel Agents or Businesses) directly. Currently you can only email to Customer Profiles, yet all the contact information for companies are stored in the Company profile. We move chargeback items to a Company Bill, so it seems illogical to then not be able to email the invoice directly to that company?

    We waste so much valuable time saving the PDF down and manually sending the invoice through Gmail. There is a lot of room for human error here, where invoices don't ever get sent out.

  13. Dear colleagues,

    At this moment we can assign employees to the room but we can not cancel, it is only possible to override.

    It generous few problems:
    - in the next day room is still assigned to the same employee, a filter of the unassigned room is useless
    - everyday assignments must be made very carefully, checking when the room has been assigned, yesterday or today
    - it is not possible to make a report of an assigned room from the past, the system shows the only current assigned

  14. Add an option in settings to set the Billing screen standard to the 'Old Billing Screen' or the new 'Group Billing Screen'. That way, if the original billing screen is prefered you do not have to change the screen manually everytime.

  15. Housekeepers change dirty stayover rooms to clean after a stayovercleaning. The room status does not change automatically overnight. As the guest is the day after also a stay over and needs cleaning aswell.

  16. Occupancy overview in dashboard only 7 days ahead, while need is there to have similar overview for 14 days, this makes planning staff for Restaurants, Housekeeping much easier. If you click on Occupancy then the data comes out, completely different. The overview for 14 days, would be a great asset and make life easier.

  17. The routing rules allows us to route the following options;
    1 - Only reservations that are prepaid in online travel agency (OTA)
    2 - All reservations with this company or travel agency attached

    recommended improvement #1

    we noticed that option 1 does not route prepaid reservations by VC.
    As Bcom does indicate its a VC instead of a prepaid to TA. We cannot apply routing to this TA. As they do not have separate TA profiles for VC and CC as Expedia has, we currently cannot distinguish which ones should be routed.

  18. Can we please get a simple number of nights count when viewing/managing a reservation? As simple as placing it next to the "nights" section would be immensely helpful when working with guests, particularly guests who have more lengthy stays. Currently, the only option Mews offers is to manually count or do math, which takes up uneccessary time while interacting with guests, and gets frustrating for such a simple and essential part of that interaction.

  19. Could be great to select more than one space category when you put on a restriction for a specific rate code. At the moment I close every space individually. And I have a lot of rates that should have closed out specific spaces.

  20. Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.
