  1. Possibility to add notes without changing the room status is missing and necessary.

    P.a. if DND (do not disturb) or white card (when guest changes cleaning against free drink at bar) housekeeping needs to add the note to the status "dirty".

    At the moment you can only add notes when the status is changed.

  2. Dear colleagues,

    At this moment we can assign employees to the room but we can not cancel, it is only possible to override.

    It generous few problems:
    - in the next day room is still assigned to the same employee, a filter of the unassigned room is useless
    - everyday assignments must be made very carefully, checking when the room has been assigned, yesterday or today
    - it is not possible to make a report of an assigned room from the past, the system shows the only current assigned

  3. Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.

  6. It would be very nice to see the room number of the guest in the tasks list in the Mews Commander and the mews commander app.
    If the housekeeping is using only the app, they can't see the reservation and therefore the room number.

  7. To keep track of quarantine rooms at our property, we would like to see the Mews Commander showing this rooms with a small sign. The same sign / feature as the extra bed would fit perfect. Just a Letter Q or simmilar. We now have to enter each of the reservation cards to read if rooms are in quarantine or are free to enter.

  9. Mews has a legionella prevention function. It automatically puts vacant rooms into dirty status after 7 days of being vacant. However, our Housekeeping and Maintenance system have a likewise function, which is way more operatable. Because I can adjust settings: I can choose the amount of days, type of notifications and to whom, etc. And, it belongs to those departments that do the legionella prevention. Mews just puts the rooms on dirty status and I have to go all the way into the history log of each individual dirty room to find out why it was put dirty; there's no…

  10. The housekeeping should be able to also mark a room as do not disturb. In stead of only: clean, inspected etc.

    This way the reception can clearly see if there are any rooms with only new towls. etc.

  13. Hi I believe a report that shows all traces by room number would be very helpful for our daily operations. We have plenty of HSKneeds for individual rooms and we need a report that has all the information by room number. E.g. room 205 is allergic to feather, room 206 wants romantic turndown service and room 320 wants service everyday at noon.

    A report that contains guests name, arrival/departure dates and all necessary information described above would help a lot. It would nice to be able to print it for a range of rooms too so that you can give…

  15. At the moment in order to put a room out of order, you need first to reallocate all the reservations assigned to that particular space. It can take a lot of time, specially if it is a long period.
    It would be nice if Mews could automatically reassign those reservations to another space.

    We at Mews follow strict design guidelines and principles with regards to the colours we use in the system. As our brand evolves and new designs standards emerge we constantly review our design choices and will keep usability and accessibility very close in our decision making process.

  17. Have a link to directly downlad the api for the Mews Application for android and apple phones. As we have company pads and phones and do not want to use our private gmail accounts to access google appsstore.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We have reviewed your request and searched for options that can solve it.

    In the Apple AppStore, it is only possible to download an application via the store. As commercial developers, we are not permitted by Apple to provide an alternative means of providing access to applications listed in the AppStore.

    I the case of Android, it would be possible to provide an .apk file that can be saved locally on a device. However, the biggest limitation here is that for applications installed using this method, we unable to automatically update the application. This would lead to security risks for the file, as well as the risk that a user will lose access once the older version of the application has been deprecated.

    For the reasons listed above we are unable to provide an alternate means of accessing the app…

  18. When you move a reserveration from one room to another, both rooms become dirty. Is it possible to add an option in stay for the new room (which is inspected)
    to stay inspected.

    That the room that the guest has moved to stays inspected. The prior rooms can stay dirty just the new room keeps it status. As after midnight inspected rooms become clean then dirty after housekeeping intervall. This way we can keep track of linen change and don't have to manually change it after every move.

    Just have as an option if other hotels don't use the system…
