  2. Nice improvement, for us its not fully what we need yet.   3. Option to mark the room, where HSK is currently in. So Front office can see where HSK is currently in and the Manager knows wehere they are (especially if they have more houses / villas or so on one property)

  5. If 3 rooms can be sold as AB, BC, and ABC, we currently cannot allow for multiple parent rooms (blocking AB and BC from BOTH being sold)

  6. When creating the reservation report each day, there are always the "internal use" rooms to be put on by hand - and therefore, of course could be forgotten....

    It would be helpful, if these rooms also would be on this report automatically - like they also show up on the list "guests in house" by downloading to excel.

    ...and why they are not shown on the dashboard as arrivals or departures?

    A good old rooming list with the exact amount of departures and arrivals. nifty to see how many people are leaving a room/ beds in a dormitory. and also how many will be arriving on the day.

  8. Change the name of out of service, out of service means can't be used in real terms but in mews means still for sale. Doesn't make any sense and too similar to out of order, both mean the same thing. Out of service should say minimal maintenance

  9. It would be great to have events shown on timeline to also reflect in the housekeeping app so that housekeeping staff are aware of events so they can set rooms up accordingly.

  10. Housekeeping needs the information whether a child belongs to one or the other child category - in our hotel baby, kid or teen - housekeeping prepares a crib for a baby, a small bed for a child and a special place for teens - so they cannot work with the actual submitted informations.
    Please submit the child categories to the housekeeping reports.

  11. Nous avons inclus nos lits supplémentaires dans le système mais pourquoi n'est il pas possible de voir leur disponibilité jour par jour? Nous avons dû créer un Excel pour faire cela et être sûr de ne pas être en surbooking de lit sup. Merci


    We have included our extra beds in the system but why is it not possible to see their availability day by day? We had to create an Excel to do this and be sure not to be overbooked. Thanks

  12. Within some states in the US, there is a maximum number of square feet (or metre) that an individual can clean during their shift. To help ensure that this limit is not being exceeded, it would help to have the measurements of the room listed within the Housekeeping part of Mews.

  13. For me Mews is all about cutting the extra manual work and automatize as much as possible. Having this in mind and that on a daily basis we use Mews Commander religiously so the FO and the HSK team know which rooms are cleaned it would be amazing to understand without having to manually insert the staff names on the status report who is cleaning which rooms and how long they take.

    Mews already stores all the information we need just does not have a way to push the data for analises.

  14. Possibility to add notes without changing the room status is missing and necessary.

    P.a. if DND (do not disturb) or white card (when guest changes cleaning against free drink at bar) housekeeping needs to add the note to the status "dirty".

    At the moment you can only add notes when the status is changed.

  15. It would be good if we could assign room credits for rooms to help the assignment process. Example, smaller rooms would get .75, standard rooms 1.0 and suites 1.5. Thereby, if each housekeeper could clean 12 credits daily, the system could calculate each room by value and assign accordingly. Additionally, stayovers would receive .25 credit against assignment as they take only 20 minutes to touchup versus a full clean would receive +.25 as they take longer to clean as determined by the property. Using this method would improve productivity and room assignment.

  16. In the "Assign spaces to employees" window it is possible to set filters for space status like dirty, clean etc. It would be great if we can also filter arrivals, stay over and departures rooms on a specific day!

  17. Housekeepers change dirty stayover rooms to clean after a stayovercleaning. The room status does not change automatically overnight. As the guest is the day after also a stay over and needs cleaning aswell.

    The housekeeping system in Mews is currently based off cleaned rooms being inspected by a supervisor including for overnight stays. When rooms are inspected, they are then turned dirty overnight.


    Would you be able to share some examples of why rooms would not be inspected by a supervisor or manager for overnight stays?

  18. Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.

  19. I would be helpful, if the housekeeping could see stay products which could for example be a fruit basket or pralines in the room.
    We have some rates for Specials that require a certain preparation from the housekeeping. Therefore it would be helpful, if the houseekeeping team could see the products and rates in their app.

  20. We have rooms that need more time to be cleaned, which is why we have to block them for the night after the guests check out. It would be great if the system could do that automatically as soon as those rooms have been booked. As for now, we need to block the rooms manually everytime it is booked...
