  1. Once a reservation is canceled in Mews, unfortunately it must be recreated in case a guest decides they would like to stay. This can be inconvenient in case of no shows that must come the next day or reservations that may have been canceled accidentally. An additional feature to reinstate canceled bookings could help simplify these occasions as all booking details could be preserved and records would be unified.

  2. we should have an option to click on the red line and see straight away where you have the overbooking. Sometimes the overbooking is two years later and you waste your time following the red line

  3. Guests may know in advance that they have companions coming to stay for only part of their reservation. Therefore, properties may want to apply these changes as soon as possible, rather than waiting until after check-in. This additional feature could allow users to split future bookings as necessary.

  5. Once a reservation has been confirmed in Mews, it is currently not possible to change that status to optional. Rather, the user must delete and recreate this reservation as optional in order to do so. Introducing the functionality to edit reservation status could help your front office simplify booking changes as they could update those details directly from the reservation module.

  6. It's quite common for guests to book accommodation together, meaning that when they're ready to pay, they would like to split charges evenly or with some other percentage. Currently this is not possible in Mews, but an additional feature could allow billing charges to be split according to guest preferences before payment.

    Hello from the Mews product team.

    At the moment we feel that the functionality around restrictions is flexible.

    You are able to apply restriction across different rates using rate groups for example, or apply them to the base rate which will restrict all related rates. Please check out our Help guides on https://help.mews.com/en/ for more information about our restrictions functionality.

    We also introduced the ability to view restrictions on a calendar which provides a great overview of currently applied restrictions.

    Therefore, we are currently not prioritising this request, but we will keep it open for further comments and opportunity to upvote, especially around the requests of being able to select multiple space types to apply the restriction to.

  10. We can add products to all reservations simultaneously, but it is not possible to cancel them with one command. With the ability to cancel items from all bookings at the same time, managing stay products will become much more simplified.

  12. To reinstate future bookings that were canceled (or marked as a no-show) up to one day after the original check-in date. This feature will simplify the procedure of amending booking that were not meant to be canceled. It will boost efficiency since clicking on a reinstate button, it is easier than creating a new booking.

  14. Many people use customer classifications to keep track of specific types of guests. Although we have a selection available, some of them may not be frequently relevant to some properties' operations. Therefore, the ability to edit or customize these labels may make them more useful for daily tasks and procedures.

  15. Registration card configuration allows properties to choose which options should be displayed for arriving guests to complete. In addition to all legally required guest details, some properties may want to specify some other required fields that should be completed for their own data and analysis. These settings would then also apply to both online check-in requirements and the Customer Profiles Report.

  17. It would be great if when changing the dates of a reservation in the properties tab you could have an option to keep the same price when changing the dates. This could be added as it is the apply cancellation fees, which you can select or not. Specially now with the Covid-19 crisis we are changing a lot of reservation dates keeping the conditions for our guests, and if the price of the new dates is higher than the price they had, when you change the dates the price per night is automatically updated.   18. The system should be able to propose the cheapest rate possible to our guests (like booking.com does). Mixing the rates to offer the best deal is a guarantee to compete better against booking.com. Not mixing the rates allows booking.com to steal bookings from us. Exemple: you activate a Last Minute deal on the next 48h. A guest want to arrive today and stay for 3 days.   19. The housekeeping should be able to also mark a room as do not disturb. In stead of only: clean, inspected etc.

    This way the reception can clearly see if there are any rooms with only new towls. etc.
