Automatically send guest bills via email
Introduce automatic sending of bills upon closing.
Hi Mewsers,
if you have online check-out enabled, guests receive the copy of their bill to their mailbox right after they finish online check-out. (they receive only copy of the bill which was closed by guest during the online. check-out.).
Other bills closed via Commander are not being sent automatically to the guest yet.

Guests expect a bill following their stay, this should automatically be sent to their email, reducing administration time having to respond to guest queries following their stay

Automating sending bills would certainly remove some of the manual steps for the front desk and it would greatly complement the Check Out Report.
However, It would also be prudent to offer this feature as an option rather than default. Especially for those properties dealing with a lot of OTA confidential/contracted rates. This can ensure we consider that every guest is eligible for automatic bill sending.

This would make it so much easier for us. We get requests for closed bills all the time. If we can get it automated, that would be perfect.

I fully support this idea! I found out that bills are not sent automatically during the onboarding process and was told that guests don't ask for this. Believe me, they do! And some guests are a little frustrated that they would even have to ask. Maybe this is the difference in the American vs. European but every American hotel I have ever stayed at sends the bill after check-out whether I have asked for it or not.

Our Partner Hotelbeds needs every bill, because we charge the vrtual credit card and, if we can send the invoice automatically, it would be easier for our front office team.

We are opening our first hotel soon and we would give our guest the best experience at all, but on the other side we would like to make the life as easy as we can for our staff. This process will block our idea of a perfect digital guest experience due to the manual send out of invoices. -

Hi We are in the process of changing our PMS to MEWS and for that reason I started a project with some of our hotels to find potential. One of the issues that the hotels mentioned was this topic. This task is very time consuming and there is a big advantage if bills could be sent automatically to the email connected to the customer profile when they pay by credit card on site. I understand the issue that not all customers should get the bill but I believe this should be possible to solve in MEWS. For example: If a customer has booked through an OTA or other travel agent then this functionality should be disabled (in the same way you that the option not invoiceable disables the button Invoice). Another possible solution could be that there will only be automatically sent bills when the credit card attached to the customer profile is applied (not merchant card or other external cards).

We get so many requests for closed bills, that it would be easier if every closed bill would be sent automatically to all guests when they leave.
