Extra beds
We highly request a function that allows us to have an inventory of all our extra beds in Mews, and that automatically keeps track of when/how many xbeds that are sold. To make sure that we don´t oversell them.
As it is today, we need to manually keep track of incoming reservations that needs xbeds, and put this in an excel document - this needs to be done several tims a week and it takes a lot of time and effort, when it should be a simple solution in the system.6 votes -
Zero Balance Required for Check-in
We would like to require all bookings to have zero balance, or be linked to a ledge in order to proceed to check-in. We run a lean operation and all our bookings should be fully pre-paid at time of booking or upon arrival, we want to disable the ability to check-in a booking if there's a balance outstanding.

Rate Groups - allow to hide rates & turn off auto email confirmation for certain rate groups.
I don't want to send confirmation emails to 3rd party OTA's. They send through the 3rd part platform and may show a rate code which is a violation of the agreement between hotels and OTA's. Example: Expedia collect - the commission is taken from the room rate, so what the guest sees is lower than what the guest pays. This causes issues as the guest will be confused and disgruntled thinking they somehow are getting overcharged by Expedia.

Add voice messages in the internal Chat
Option to add voice messages into the internal chat.
People who speak multiple languages cannot write all words. This way you can simply send a short message with less hassle

Company/agent shown in the reservation overview
It would be great when the company of booking agent which is related to the guest is shown in the reservation overview. For example shown guest name, related to company X.

Show products
In the mews app, show the product items that are within the system so that housekeeping knows what to add, a bottle of champagne for example.
It would be even greater if we would have a setting per product to what we would like to show in the app. Breakfast for example would not be relevant to housekeeping.

Create promo without separate rate
We would love to be able to create discounted rates without the need to create a new rate manually.
The idea is that when you create a voucher, you can set a certain discount (ie. 20%) and select the rates on which it applies. With this a a lot of work can be avoided.

Overridable price for service and product separately
Be able to restrict access to the price of the service for each additional service when the "Order only with products" option is ticked. For the moment, either all prices can be changed (Service and Products), or none. But when the receptionist adds a product and also adds an amount to the price of the service by mistake, it may create a billing issue, and so an accounting issue.

Group reservations booker/owner
A better and quicker way to name the group different from the booker. Now it is a mess to get it changed properly. It is always switching and the group name cannot be different as the booker of the group on an easy way.

Prices shown despite rate restrictions
It would be very helpful for us if it was possible for managers to display the prices for a price query / new booking despite rate restrictions (for example MLOS).

Out of service
Change the name of out of service, out of service means can't be used in real terms but in mews means still for sale. Doesn't make any sense and too similar to out of order, both mean the same thing. Out of service should say minimal maintenance

Available rooms on opening screen
When you log into the PMS, it shows an occupancy chart and underneath how many arrivals, departures, etc there are for the next few days. However, it would also be good to show HOW MANY AVAILABLE ROOMS there are on each day for the next few days. And I mean rooms and NOT occupancy. So, if someone asks if we are fully booked or if there is availability in general, one can very quickly see that there are still rooms available before digging in further to see which rooms and room types are still free. Print Company on guest bill for Invoiced accounts
I would like to see where a company or travel agent profile is attached to a reservation, however the assigned billing company is a third party agent/TMC that is not the main company or travel agent to the booking but have the company / agent profile linked to the reservation also print onto the guest bill header details

More automation in the product rules
Now it is possible to use age categories. But these age categories just affects the room revenue. We need it also for products. For example child pricing: in a package (room + breakfast) not just the room rate should be reduced but also the product breakfast.
Great solution would be like that: in the product rule, we should be able to choose, if the product "breakfast adult" would be added when there are just adults in the room and the product "breakfast child" would be added, when there is another age category choosed. Blocks for nested spaces & parent rooms
When creating a block and adding a "pod in a room" does not properly reduce the room pods available, looks like there is an issue with parent rooms. For example, if you hold an 8 pods in a 8 pod room, the 8 pod rooms appears as available online and in the system.
This means that at the moment we can get overbookings if we do not load it as, , 8 pods in an 8 pod room AND one 8 pod room.

post payment as deposit
When taking a manual payment such as on arrival, post as a payment against a deposit bill raised in same button, e.g. take payment and raise automatic deposit bill. This will save front desk time when checking in a high volume of guests that pay via pdq terminal on arrival and allow them more interaction time with the guest.
