Connector API: Extend "Update reservations" state (optional/confirmed)
Currently, the reservation state can be updated from Optional to Confirmed via the API. Extending this would allow for the state of the reservation to be changed from Confirmed to Optional.

API to merge bills
In the Mews UI, when a guest has two open Bills that offset each other (e.g. one at -$63 and one at +$63), we use "Move" to combine them onto one Bill so it nets to $0.00, then close it. We can't find a Connector API endpoint that does this — only bills/close, bills/add, bills/update, and payment endpoints, none of which merge two Bills together.

Telephone number make the field mandatory and block unsupported formatting before saving
We have trouble with synchronization between Best Western CRS and MEWS.
If you write certain phone number formats in the guest profile, including hyphens, which are not supported and this will prevent the reservation from syncing correctly to Best Western CRS.
If the reservation do not sync, Best Western can not see the reservation and can overbook the hotel.
We are having overbooking problems because of this.
Can we make the phone number field mandatory and block unsupported formatting before saving?

Lock reservation after online check-in time change
When a reservation is locked in Mews (to ensure the guest keeps the specific room they have been assigned), the reservation currently becomes unlocked if the guest updates their check-in time during online check-in (e.g. via Duve).
This creates a risk that the room assignment can be changed afterwards without us noticing, since we do not receive any notification that the reservation was modified and unlocked.
Proposed improvement:
If a reservation is locked, changes made during online check-in (such as check-in time updates) should not automatically unlock the reservation. Alternatively, Mews could keep the reservation locked or automatically re-lock it…2 votes -
Give access to service fee for additional services via API
Our integration allows guests to book upsells through our application,
which are then posted to Mews. While this generally works well, we have
encountered an issue since adding support for ordering additional services.Specifically, we are unable to locate the service fee through the API before
an order is placed. To ensure transparency, we need to show the guest the
full price, including the service fee, before they confirm their order.
Although I can see the fee by fetching order items after the transaction is

Mandatory Address Validation When Enabling “Bill To” on Guest and Company Profiles
Problem Description
When a user in Mews enables the Bill To (Factureerbaar) option on a guest or company profile without a primary address, financial integrations such as SAP fail to process the invoice. SAP requires a complete address for every debtor. This leads to error messages, manual correction work, and delays in financial reconciliation.Requested Solution
Add a mandatory validation step when enabling the Bill To option:Mews should check whether a primary address is present on the profile.
If not, the user receives a clear error message such as:

Improving user experience by implementing substring matching, allowing incomplete inputs to return results, and fuzzy search to display relevant results even in case of minor typos.

Webhook or websocket notification for customer's address change and customer's identity document change
Currently there is no notification about changes to identity documents or changes to addresses of the customers. If you want to make sure that you have up-to-date information about customer's address and identity documents you have to query all customer's addresses and identity documents periodically.
Please create a webhook (or websocket) notification for these changes. As an alternative solution, you could trigger the 'CustomerUpdated' webhook when the address and/or identity document of the customer is updated.
