  1. Currently via the Connector API, you're not able to retrieve information about employees in the enterprise. With this endpoint, information such as creator and created date would be visible.

  2. we are retrieving reservation data and are looking for the attached products.
    Currently, we use /reservations/getAll and extend the items:true. Thin gets us Items with SubType (ProductOrder/SpaceOrder) or Type (ProductRevenue/ServiceRevenue). We are only interested in the Product-reated items.
    to save resources we would appreciate either an extra endpoint /items/getAll (equivalent to /accountingItems/getAll ) with the possibility of filtering those Items after SubType (ProductOrder/SpaceOrder) or Type (ProductRevenue/ServiceRevenue) and reservationIDs or even better a filtering for Type/Subtype in the reservations/getAll endpoint.

  4. In MEWS GUI, PaymentTab of Customers' profile, we can add external payment and fill "external identifier" field on this external payment.
    But this field is not available uisng API.
    We need it to identify cheque (n° of cheque)

  5. In the call reservations/getall, 'Cancellation Reason' is not included in the response. This would provide integration partners with more granular data of why a reservation was cancelled and improve 3rd party reporting and revenue management. Available information for cancellation reasons from the system would include:
    - COVID-19
    - Other
    - Confirmation missed
    - Booked elsewhere
    - Force majeure
    - Guest complaint
    - No show
    - Price is too high
    - Service not available
    - Input error
    - Invalid payment
    - Travel agency
    - Requested by guest

  6. Yep, the issues we have that is looks like this mews connector is something you install on a desktop and then manually start it or something.

    We need to have this running on a server as a service/deamon, so it autostarts when we the server is started and not for a user to login and autostart.

    We have it autostarting, and autouserlogin, with locks the screen after a few moniutes, but that is not how it should be running, should be a bit more robust.

    Preferably also with something to monitor (logs, proceses, http requests) so our monitoring can see…

    A short update: we are currently investigating with our team to determine the feasibility of making a cross-platform, Windows-service ready, version of Mews Connector. More news on this investigation in the coming weeks. 

  7. Mewsers who list their property on Booking.com must connect this channel via a channel manager. Mews are exploring the option to directly connect Mews to Booking.com to avoid the need of having a Channel Manager in the middle.

    Supported features of this connection would be:

    • Availability, Restrictions and Inventory pushed to Booking.com .

    • Reservations downloaded every 30-60 seconds.

    • For newly onboarded properties, automatically import future Booking.com reservations when you enable the integration for the 1st time.

  9. Currently, an integration partner can listen to Websocket notifications to receive real time updates on reservations, command, and space events.

  11. The hotel should be notified by email when a guest makes a modification or cancelation of his booking on Mews Distributor (same logic as when a guest makes a booking).

  15. We are working with Wihp to display our rates on Google. Actually Mews is not able to provide the cancellation deadline for each rates, other OTAs are able to provide rates per room category and with cancelation deadline. We need to be able as well to show to our customers our cancelation policy per rate category.

  17. At the moment, we can't sell Mews POS in Portugal due to lack of certification and we don't have other POS which we integrate with. Most of the prospects have PMS + POS solution with local Portuguese providers.

  18. The current rates/getall API call does not bring up the Rate Description and Rate Segment.

    Regarding the Segment: Arguably, someone could link the rates response to the reservations response and grab the Segment of the rate from the reservations it's linked to. The issue however is that once a rate is applied to a reservation, the user can go to the reservation and change the segment field, which leads to different segments on the reservation level and the corresponding rate level.

    Regarding the Descriptions: It would be useful if we can have the Rate Descriptions in the rates/getall API response…

  20. Mews should accurately allocate the price across different age categories. For instance, if a reservation includes products with child pricing, Mews should distribute the total cost based on child pricing and not just equally. For example, if the total price is 67.5 and the reservation has 2 adults and 1 child, the distribution should be 27 (adult price) multiplied by 2 (adults) and 13.5 (child price) multiplied by 1 (child).
