  1. Keys (using keycutter) are automatically made based on check-out and check-in times. It would be useful to make a key that works until 10h15 if the check-out is for example at 10am. Now, if guests forgot something or want to pick up luggage they left in the room at 10h01 front office needs to make a new key.

  2. We should be able to retrieve and use the guest preferred space features with the customer profile using the API. This would allow the guest to update these information from external integrations and this data could be used to offer customized services according to these preferences, like available spaces to offer in case the guest want to change its assigned space

  3. A great feature would be the ability to set a Printer (set up through mews connector) as an export target.

    For example, to automatically print the breakfast list each morning at 06:00 on the printer in the breakfast room.

    The format of the report would have to be the same as if you print it manually through the product report.

  4. Pull the guests "check in and check out time" data from the channels and update directly to the reservations "arrival" section.
    At the moment this information goes to "notes" but it would be great to have it automated.

  6. Integrators connecting to Mews' API can retrieve accounting items, such as revenue for one night's accommodation. Some integrators would like to receive information about which staff member or which system created the accounting item.

    With this extension, this data would be returned.

  7. For guest communication it would be helpful to have a field exposed to Connector API with the information whether or not a confirmation email has been sent for the reservation. Same is true for pre-Stay, On-Prem, etc.

  8. It is helpful to have a separate webhook event for ServiceOrderCreated (Additionally to ServiceOrderUpdated) to discriminate new from changed reservations. Similar to Customer, where both events have a separate webhook.

  10. For the analysis and planning, it is important to know which travel purpose the block can be arranged. Is it a leisure group or a business group? For this it would be important to arrange the block to a segment. This segment must be able to be transferred to e.g. Fairmas.

  12. automated Guest Satisfaction data uploading to qualtrics for The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW).

  13. It would be great if we could get the Confirmed Date from a Reservation out of the API. Mews shows this in their own report(s), but it's not available in the Connector API.

  14. In the current Visonline integration with Mews, Mews only sends one room number/lock id to be encoded in Visionline. This presents an operational challenge for properties that have the following room structure:

    6228 - main suite (parent space)
    230 - private room for 2 persons (child space)
    228 - dorm room with 4 beds (child space with 4 additional child spaces nested)
    228-1,2,3,4 - four separate dorm beds

    230 and 228 can be sold separately, as is any of the four beds. A party of 6 can also book the entire suite 6228.

  15. Mews now send and API call to Hotek Key cutter for only one key at a time, if you want to create multiple keys at a time it send it separately and not in one command. We check with Hotek and they confirmed to us that Mews send multiple keys creating in different commands and not in one command. This cause a lot of irritation with people at the reception, because it's not clear when the first key is created and when they need to put the second key on the card reader. Allowing duplicate keys is not and option…

  16. For actions taken in Mews that appear on the Action Log, allow the employee GUID of who made the change (such as rates) to be shown in the response.

  17. Extend the timefilter to have a UPDATED timefilter, so that you can retrieve all accounting items that have been created/modified within a certain timeframe.
    This way you can easily fetch for example "give me all items that were changed since yesterday".
    Advantage: If you would like to know if there were new accounting items modified/created since the last time you checked, you do not need to get all items for the entire future. That would save a lot of bandwidth and processing (on both server/client side)

  19. Salto can receive a check out command from PMS. Currently, MEWS does not send these commands via the key cutter integration to Salto (early check out fe.).

    Would be a great benefit (and improvement in terms of security) since currently we cannot create a new key via our integrating party for Kiosk.

  20. Assaabloy provides now door locks solution with possibility to the guest to press a button to set status do not disturb or make my room.

    Does the DND/make my room status communication between Commander and Assa Abloy could be developped ?

    Then communication between commander and roomchecking ?
