  2. We would like to give the guest possibility to book a table in Mews Booking Engine - and it should be possible to book a table in Guest Portal - we are using integration ResDiary. Their answer:

    As this integration was developed and is managed by Mews, they are best to check with them if there are any planned improvements and any requests to their team for consideration.

  5. In the current Visonline integration with Mews, Mews only sends one room number/lock id to be encoded in Visionline. This presents an operational challenge for properties that have the following room structure:

    6228 - main suite (parent space)
    230 - private room for 2 persons (child space)
    228 - dorm room with 4 beds (child space with 4 additional child spaces nested)
    228-1,2,3,4 - four separate dorm beds

    230 and 228 can be sold separately, as is any of the four beds. A party of 6 can also book the entire suite 6228.

  6. As it stands, the key cutter automatically defaults to whatever check-out time in that property is.

    When a guest adds a late check-out to their reservation, or when we enter it as a product, Mews should change the time to whatever the late check-out in that property is. Then we can still use key cutter without having to manually change the check-out time. This will significantly decrease human error in the case that reception doesn't notice that late check-out was added.

  8. Be able to modifiy the product rate depending on the date booked. For example, if you have "Dinner" as a product and its price is changing depending on the day of the week (weekdays or weekends) or the period of the year (Christmas, August...) it is going to be awesome to be able to change its price for every single day you need to.

  9. Adding functionatlity to create/edit vouchers and their codes would be useful for a number of use cases.

    Firstly in my opinion the Mews process for creating this is a little clunky, especially if you want to track the usage of each VC as it needs to be it's own Voucher, there's no way to track the codes within that voucher.

    Therefore lets say you have a staff friends & family rate, and you want the voucher code to be the employee name so you can track usage and abuse of the incentive.

  10. Assaabloy provides now door locks solution with possibility to the guest to press a button to set status do not disturb or make my room.

    Does the DND/make my room status communication between Commander and Assa Abloy could be developped ?

    Then communication between commander and roomchecking ?

  11. When you are in a channel manager rate in the channel manager mappings and you click the 'X' in the top left it puts you back to the main channel manager settings page rather than the list of channel manager rates.

    When you're trying to delete a space category you need to unmap it from the channel manager rates first, if you have a lot of rates this becomes very time consuming when it's putting you back to the main page each time.

    Generally this could be made easier with an "unmap from all rates" button

  16. Within Mews mails sent out to guests, there is a “Chat with us” button that allows guests to initiate conversations with the hotel. These messages can currently only be viewed inside of MEWS itself and not within third-party integrations/services.

    By allowing other services or integrators to access these messages, integrators would be able to enhance their service offerings by providing a unified communication platform, improve operational efficiency by centralizing guest interactions.

  19. The new reservations/getAll endpoint & the new bills/getAll endpoint both use a new AccountId(s) field. This field can contain a customer or a company.

    In the case of the reservation AccountIds field, we would possibly need to do two requests per AccountId to fetch the required information.

    It would be a lot easier if there was an accounts/getAll endpoint where we could fetch the information with just a single request.

  20. Currently, block reservations are not transferred to other systems. Systems such as Fairmas or RMS cannot see the blocks until a list of names is entered and the actual reservation number for each single reservation is generated by MEWS. This distorts P/U and open pricing. The problem could be solved by also giving a block a reservation number.
