  1. Mews should accurately allocate the price across different age categories. For instance, if a reservation includes products with child pricing, Mews should distribute the total cost based on child pricing and not just equally. For example, if the total price is 67.5 and the reservation has 2 adults and 1 child, the distribution should be 27 (adult price) multiplied by 2 (adults) and 13.5 (child price) multiplied by 1 (child).

  2. Our demo environment that we use for testing purposes is full of rates created from availability blocks. We should have the possibility, at least in staging environments, to delete the rates (via the API or a mass delete feature in the UI).

  3. In order to show system user activity across Mews we need the ability to list users via the public API.
    For example see id, name, username for the user who checked in a guest or added a particular note.
    Many entities today have for instance "Created by" or "Updated by" fields, but I have not found a way to retrieve the actual user or all users.

    This functionality would help us show which employees have interacted with customers and assist in followups and other customer related processes.

  5. Xorcom is an IP PBX manufacturer and we would like to integrate our PBX with MEWS PMS. I didn't find any mention of the wake-up call management in your API documentation.   11. As an example the Title selected in Guest profile is 'Mr.' but the API provided as 'Mister'
    Please do not have a difference between profile and API of the Title field.

    The shorter form of 'Mr' is better for display on phone & TV systems so please provide the title in API as it is in guest profile.

  12. The new reservations/getAll endpoint & the new bills/getAll endpoint both use a new AccountId(s) field. This field can contain a customer or a company.

    In the case of the reservation AccountIds field, we would possibly need to do two requests per AccountId to fetch the required information.

    It would be a lot easier if there was an accounts/getAll endpoint where we could fetch the information with just a single request.

  14. Usage of UUIDs in mappings is critically problematic when using Duetto RMS.
    The preference would be we could use shortname or recognizable ratecodes in mappings which could be used throughout enterprise strategies, transparent sub rate set up and which would allow us to fully use the optimization tool for setting up strategic revenue opportunities.

  15. The "New Reservation" event from Mews in Zapier doesn't send the price of the reservation. It only send information about extra product buyed by the customer but not the total price of the reservation. It also doesn't send the price of the room.

  16. Problem description:

    When we are getting a 403 Forbidden response, we only have the error message to go on about what the actual issue is. This can be an invalid rate plan or Mews being busy for a minute.

    As documented (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/guidelines/responses#response-codes), these error messages are translated in the client language, so these can be displayed to the end user.

    For example the 403 Forbidden response on /rates/updatePrice can be this:

  19. We use the Sabre SynXis CRS for channel management. For example, when we are oversold by 3 on a room type, Mews sends a 0 count to the CRS rather than -3. This creates situations where we are at risk of overselling or continuing to be oversold as we will get a cancelation but the CRS goes from 0 to 1 rather than -3 to -2. Often we get another booking before the systems refresh one another.

  20. At the moment, we can't sell Mews POS in Portugal due to lack of certification and we don't have other POS which we integrate with. Most of the prospects have PMS + POS solution with local Portuguese providers.
