  3. When a refund is done via a group bill and the refunds are added to the individual reservations (so that the refund accounting items are added to these reservations), the reservations themselves are not marked as being updated (UpdatedUTC). Therefore, if you perform a query to check for updated reservations, these reservations are not sent and thus we miss getting the updates for these reservations.

    So our request: update the UpdatedUTC for reservations when a refund is done via a group bill, since accounting items were added to these reservations.

    We need a flag to tell mews not sending the cancellation email when we're cancelling a reservation through the "reservations/cancel" endpoint.

  6. For the Virdee Kiosk connection, would like the kiosk to have access to housekeeping status as well as reassign rooms for guests checking in. For example, if guest is checking in to Room Type A, but their assigned room is not ready, the kiosk can then reassign the guest to a Vacant Clean Room for the same room type.

  7. Central Statistical Office (GUS)
    In order to maintain the correctness of the buyer's data, the program should be connected to the Central Statistical Office. When given a NIP number of company (tax payer identification number), PMS would be able to download other information like company name and address.

  9. It is extremely useful to qualify Resource Dirty / Clean / Inspected States with occupancy status.
    As it is to resolve occupancy Status, reservation’s arrival and departure dates must be queried for the Resource against current date.
    If the current date falls within arrival and departure then the occupancy can be resolved by Reservation State
    Started means occupied, anything else means vacant.
    Is there a simpler way to do it?
    Could it be included in the Resource response?

  11. All reservations are coming through as Channel Manager and does not break out CHM Booking Engine (Website). The filter by Reservation Source is also not granular enough. Normally a Reservation Source Report would break out GDS by Channel, Booking Engine (non-Mews) and OTA's by Channel. Also not reflecting in Mews Analytics. We need better more granular data from our Channel Manager for proper internal reporting.

    Are we not receiving this data from Channel Managers as the original origin of the bookings and passing it on to Mews?

  12. It is quite important for us to have the "Invoiceable" information of a company coming through the API for our FMS to recognize which companies can pay on accounting receivables.

  18. External systems that have group room blocks typically allow groups to go through a series of statuses that determine whether the blocked rooms should be taken from inventory. This is important as once a hotel promises a number of rooms to a group, it has to make good on that promise.

    With the way availability is updated in Mews currently, space categories can be overblocked and cause our users to fail to have all promised rooms available for their guests.

    Example:

    1. Hotel has space category "King Villa" with 10 rooms available for every day in July

  19. There are some endpoints (for example: the /reservations/search endpoint) that allow us to query certain objects like reservations that were created or modified in a certain time interval. If the time interval causes Mews to fetch too many objects, it will return a 408. This can be less straightforward for the caller as the caller does not know in which time interval most creations/modifications happened and the caller will thus keep calling the endpoint until the time interval is finally small enough for the request to succeed.   20. Currently occupancy or capacity information (adultCount, childCount) is only available in event data after the user has selected a room, however the data is available in the UI when the list of rooms is shown to the user.

    For 3rd party tools (like price comparisons widgets) that need to compare rooms with capacity information this presents a real data accuracy problem.

    If the data could be exposed on each availableRoom in the distributorAvailabilityLoaded event it would not only ensure the event is consistent with the UI but also improve the accuracy of third party tools.
