Machine readable error message in a 403 Forbidden response
Problem description:
When we are getting a 403 Forbidden response, we only have the error message to go on about what the actual issue is. This can be an invalid rate plan or Mews being busy for a minute.
As documented (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/guidelines/responses#response-codes), these error messages are translated in the client language, so these can be displayed to the end user.
For example the 403 Forbidden response on /rates/updatePrice can be this:

Provide full details when reservation price is previewed
When we use the endpoint /api/connector/v1/reservations/price (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/operations/reservations#price-reservations) the output does not contains the full details but only the taxes.
It would be nice to be able to retrieve the details of which rules/products have been applied and the amount associated, directly in the output.
For example, if a hotel apply resort fees using the rule system, retrieving only taxes and total amont is not enough to display the full details of the calculation. Currently to display it we need to fetch all rules and manually check if rule should be applied or not. And do a "revert engineering"…

Distributor API: Identifying rates mapped to booking engine
Our desire is to only ever capture the public rates that are available via the Mews booking engine. However, the Distributor API has no flag to indicate rates that are and aren't mapped to the booking engine and we therefore have no means of filtering out non-public rates.

Send a push by rate code
Can you please develop option to send a manual push for selected rate codes? At present when sending a push it includes each existing rate codes and it slows the system down for an entire day!!

Multiple phones in each room
When connecting MEWS with a PBX, the phone in the physical room is defined as a Space, or resource, in MEWS.
The name of the Space is the actual phone extension number, often the same as the room number.
As only one resource can be associated with a Reservation, we run into a problem when a room/suite is equipped with more than one phone, not uncommon in "high class" hotels. Each of these phones (=MEWS resources) needs somehow to be associated with the same Reservation.

Accounting (Order) Items should also have the "name" just like extended items have in the reservations query
If you receive accounting items via reservations/getall with extent of items, you will receive a "name" field. This "name" field is what the customer sees:
Things like: Tourism Fee (Adults), Night 22-12-2022.
But if you query accountingitems/getAll for a specific reservation, you do not get this "name" field. You only receive a revenue type with a possible discriminator.Please add the "name" field too...

TESA Smart Air by Assa Abloy integation with Mews
We manage local accommodation flats. The guest access to the rooms is done through a pin code that we send to the guest before the check in date. Our system is TESA Smart Air by Assa Abloy.
Currently to send pins to the guests we have to manually input into the TESA system the room information, check in and check out date and guest name, generate the code and send to the guest This procedure is time consuming and error prone.

It would be great to the ability to add employees via the Connector API. This would allow for client to push their employee list from their own internal systems into Mews.

Make "Guarantee information" available at reservations from channel manager
We need to see "Guarantee information" sent by the OTAs (especially booking.com) via the channel manager. This data is included in the xml file sent by the channel manager to Mews.
Without seeing this information receptionist must open the reservation not only in Mews but also in booking.com to make sure whether the guest must pay at the reception or he/she already paid at the OTA and there is a virtual credit card available for the reservation.

Use multiple addresses for google hotel search
We are currently using a 1 property set-up to manage 2 different properties in mews as reservations are sometimes moved between both properties and the multi property set-up doesn't allow to just switch bookings. Because of this 1 property set-up, we can only link 1 of our properties to the Google Hotel Search integration. Therefore it would be usefull for us to link our separate property (with different address) to google as well.
In our opinion, the necessary fields for google could be filled-in in the integration itself, and not taken from the property settings in mews.
