  2. enable a "grace period" for key cutter integrations to account for late checkouts, etc. When a guest adds a late check-out to their reservation, or when we enter it as a product, it should change the time to whatever the late check-out in that property is

  3. Be able when making the key for the Guest Room to indicate if a Common door like Garage should be included. This can be done with clicking on the common door, like done in Fidelio, by showing when you make a key a option grid where you can check eg: Garage checked to include access to the garage with your guest card to. This tick writes a 1 on Position 14 on the card.

  4. Our demo environment that we use for testing purposes is full of rates created from availability blocks. We should have the possibility, at least in staging environments, to delete the rates (via the API or a mass delete feature in the UI).

  7. In order to read the Salto key cards at the restaurant or other services of the property, the key card needs to include additional information about the guest.

    Could you evolve your integration such that your Mews connector positions the “FirstName-LastName-Telephone-Email” information in field #12 of the frame?

    1. Field #12 of the frame corresponds to the data of virtual track 1 of the badge.

    2. Please note that up to 121 characters can be entered on the virtual track.

  8. When we use the endpoint /api/connector/v1/reservations/price (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/operations/reservations#price-reservations) the output does not contains the full details but only the taxes.

    It would be nice to be able to retrieve the details of which rules/products have been applied and the amount associated, directly in the output.

    For example, if a hotel apply resort fees using the rule system, retrieving only taxes and total amont is not enough to display the full details of the calculation. Currently to display it we need to fetch all rules and manually check if rule should be applied or not. And do a "revert engineering"…

  9. Our desire is to only ever capture the public rates that are available via the Mews booking engine. However, the Distributor API has no flag to indicate rates that are and aren't mapped to the booking engine and we therefore have no means of filtering out non-public rates.

  12. A meeting room can only be booked once during a day period. This is a problem since meeting rooms e.g. can be booked from 09:00 till 12:00 and again from 13:00 till 17:00. This basic case is not possible.

    Is there any change planned which would allow us to book rooms based on the actual reservation time and not only once per period?

  13. When an availability block is created in Mews, a new rate is created, dedicated to this block. The new rate is based on an original rate, taken from the list of rates already existing in Mews. Let's say a hotel has a company profile "Company X" which books a conference. The user selects rate = "Company X corporate rate" and Mews creates a copy of this rate and attaches it to the block. When fetching the block via the API, the block references this copy as its rate ID.

  14. Can you please develop option to send a manual push for selected rate codes? At present when sending a push it includes each existing rate codes and it slows the system down for an entire day!!

  15. When connecting MEWS with a PBX, the phone in the physical room is defined as a Space, or resource, in MEWS.

    The name of the Space is the actual phone extension number, often the same as the room number.

    As only one resource can be associated with a Reservation, we run into a problem when a room/suite is equipped with more than one phone, not uncommon in "high class" hotels. Each of these phones (=MEWS resources) needs somehow to be associated with the same Reservation.

  17. We manage local accommodation flats. The guest access to the rooms is done through a pin code that we send to the guest before the check in date. Our system is TESA Smart Air by Assa Abloy.
    Currently to send pins to the guests we have to manually input into the TESA system the room information, check in and check out date and guest name, generate the code and send to the guest This procedure is time consuming and error prone.
