    This status update is part of our ongoing work to simplify and streamline how our UserVoice feedback forum operates.   3. Signature for accompanying persons Optional

    Since the update in July 2024, MEWS Kiosk asks for the signature of all travelling persons. As the data is usually filled in by the main booker and is not required by law, I agree that the signature for accompanying persons can be set to fixed, optional or not required as required.

    In addition, it makes little sense to ask for this data for small children etc..

  4. Spaces are shown in the BE based on the rate group and cancellation policy. For a hostel with dorms, rooms and beds, this make the dorms and rooms to be displayed firt (more expensive) rather than the beds (less expensive) and potential customers are easily discouraged when they only look at the first elements shown. It would be helpful to choose wich space type show first regardless of the pricing configuration.

  5. When you are in the process of booking a room you should be able to make a table reservation in the same process. The table reservation should be linked to an inventory.

  6. I design websites for hotel and am working on the first site where Mews needs to be integrated. It surprised me to see that it is not possible to link to a specific room or package in the booking engine.

    Every hotel website I worked with wants a page on their where they describe and promote their room types and packages. It makes perfectly sense to add a [Book now] button to that description, which raises the expectation that you can directly book that room type or package with a click on that button.

  7. It would be great if a link / website integration could be created so guests can manage their reservations by going to the hotels' website. This would be a handy feature, especially as people cannot find their confirmation mails and such from time to time.

  8. Please stop creating several profiles for already existing guests. I know that this is based on the e-mail address and Booking creates a new e-mail address when a guest makes a new reservation, but this makes it impossible to track who's a regular guest and who's coming back when.

  9. Would be good to have possibility to send more personalised mails. For example, we organise a lot of pop up events (BBQ in summer, concerts, ...). People need to subscribe in advance.

    Would be great to be able to send these kind of mails from MEWS.
    What's differente compared to actual MEWS mail templates?
    - content is different every month
    - we should be able to choose ourselves when we do want to send this mail and when not (for example if we organise a BBQ next sunday, it should not be send to any other guests than those staying…

  10. We use "reservation notes" to communicate between shifts. Sometimes notes are important ONLY for reception staff. Sometimes notes are important ONLY for housekeeping staff. It would be good to be able to split notes keeping this in mind. For Housekeeping staff notes, they should appear on the "guest in house" reports, so teams get briefed daily on what to do in each room.
    For Reception staff notes, it would be better to have them pop up when opening a reservation, to be sure they are read before check-in/check-out.

  11. When we decided to use Mews, a big point was the booking engines features. When searching for a room for 3 or 4 persons, only rooms having 3 or 4 beds where shown for booking.
    Without telling anybody about the change, Mews now shows also rooms having pnly two beds and asked the guest to book more rooms. If a family wants to stay at our resort, the want a room/apartment having 3 or 4 beds, not 2 seperated apartments with 2 beds each. So please make it possible to change this.   12. Please adjust the length of the e-mail queue to one year. I can look back for four months, but we book one year ahead. So this means that for most of my guests, I cannot see the confirmation e-mail. If the guest does not have it themselves, I cannot prove that and what they booked with us (which is very awkward as you can imagine).

  13. Allow products to be bought per person rather than based on number of people in the room e.g room is booked for 2 people but only 1 person want a massage which is an extra. Currently you can only book 1 if you choose once or per person and it is based on the number of people in the room

  14. Very often husband and wife or companions and/or children do travel together. In mews I see when main guest is "Returning" Guest. In this case I would like mews to automatically suggest names of other people who stayed with them the last times. This information could also be stored in Guest profile on his/her own page of mews. Since it is now the 3rd year we are using mews, more and more guests are returning and it would be of good service not to have to ask again information about companions and children who stayed already

  16. Please allow properties to disable the online check-in function at the guest portal.

    It is great that guests can access the guest portal, use the chat, see the reservations and fill in personal details as well as personal details of the other members that are traveling.

    We would like to keep the "chat with us" placeholder in the confirmation and prearrival email templates so guests can access the guest portal, check their reservations, chat with our reservations' team and fill in personal information, but deactivate the online check-in option.

    By default the online check-in is not activated when the reservation…

  17. Currently, there are only a few options for how emails are automatically sent. It would be ideal if you could control which booking channels will automatically have emails delivered. For example, AirBnB has a very strict off-platform communication policy. If we could send emails automatically to everyone except AirBnB, or even tailor our emails granularity for each channel, that would be immensely beneficial.

  18. The information showed in navigator is not enough. Especially for guests with multiple reservations/cancellations. I am missing at least: Confirmation number, rate type, room type, price, extra products.

  19. The Mews T&C's need to be accepted by the guest when making a booking via the Mews Distributor. These T&C's are in English, but some guest find that hard to read. It would be great to have this available in local languages.
