  1. When the visitor of our booking street clicks on a date on which we have no availability, he or she will receive the advice to select another date or to contact our reception (by e-mail or by telephone). Currently it is impossible to change this text.

    We notice that our reception is now receiving many calls regarding our availability. In most cases, the caller reacts with disappointment, because providing these contact details incorrectly suggests that a room is still available.

    The option to change this text would be greatly appreciated.

  2. With regards to our highest room category, which is our ******, we have a price increase for additional guests from CHF 50 to CHF 70,-/each and for children from CHF 30,- to CHF 35,-/each as of 1st January 2023!

  3. We offer certain additional services (like afternoon tea) for which we require a preparation time of 48 hours. unfortunately there doesn't seem to be the possibility to mark this when setting up the service - only that you can offer it prior to arrival. is there a way we can add a time limit on (i.e. 48 hours prior to arrival) and that it generates a task not on the day of arrival but for example a week prior to arrival or on the day of the product being added by the guest.

  4. At the moment every booking service has its own Booking engine. It would be great if the customer could book multiple services in one flow. For example accommodation and parking spaces at the same time.

  5. When we use the space types in combination with the booking engine, the name of the space type is displayed very prominently in the booking proces.
    When you book a house, boat, bicycle or special accommodation instead of a room, the booking engine shows it as e.g. a site.
    We would like to see this at least as an external name that you can change to whatever you want.

  6. Often the booker asks us to copy the guest in the proposal or confirmation emails. Currently, we have to send the emails twice (once at the time of booking and again through the booking module). Would it be more efficient and clearer for the guest/booker to have the possibility to add another email address (recipients) in CC for the proposal and confirmation emails?

  7. We do not have a 24 hour front desk and do not want the ability for a guest to make a same day reservation after 9pm. Currently we can only set a restriction for the whole day, please add the ability to set a specific time.

  8. We have a large amount of room types that have King beds capable of being converted into Twin configuration. Rather than choosing a set amount of rooms to sell as "Twin" we would prefer to make it an OPTION for the guest to choose their bed configuration. That way the full quantity of splittable beds is available to sell on our booking engine. Additionally, from an operational perspective we know 100% which bed configuration guests require. Splitting beds (or combining them to a King) is very labour intensive and has cost implications from a linen/bedding perspective. Having clear options at…

  9. Looking for IBE that ONLY allows customers moving forward having a Voucher code;
    Step 1/ Enter Voucher code
    Step 2/ If viable move forward taking reservations
    So having a landing page entering voucher code prior to moving to date/occupancy selection.

  10. Properties are looking for more personalized experience. It's important to collect information such as allergies, personal preferences, arrival time, etc.

    It would be great if there was a flexibility to add additional fields in the booking engine (arrival, allergies, preferences, occasion for the stay) and give properties flexibility to collect this important data from their guests at the time of booking.

  11. The Sign in image set under "Property" (seen in the guest portal) is also the image shown as background in the Booking Engine.
    We want the option to set different Pictures.

    Sign In image looks best in 640x800 while Booking engine background looks best in fullscreen (1080x1920).

  12. We are currently using Mews on Enterprise level. Thou multiproperty Mews gives us great analitics, unfortunately is a bit weaker on the day-to-day use. It would be great if we could create one promo voucher that would work for all the properties in the multiproperty booking engine. Currently this option is not available and vouchers need to be created separately for each property.

  13. We are expiring very unsatisfied guests who stays with us every week and is 'getting spammed with e-mails' both before and after each of their stay. We need to option to turn the automated e-mails off in the guest profile.

    These e-mails should still be sent to all new guests whereas returning guests seem to get VERY annoyed by receiving the same e-mails weekly in connection with their stays.

    Right now our only option is to completely remove their e-mail address from Mews which creates tons of issues with multiple guest profiles for the same guest, issues with sending confirmations…

  14. It would be nice if you can either,
    - Display "Only few rooms left" when inventory is low rather than the exact numbers all the time
    - Or display room availability by space types or categories. eg: we would like to only show availability for only the suite rooms

  15. Hello Mews Team

    As a hostel we rent out single beds in a dorm. In the booking engine those units shows as "maximum persons: 1", "available: 10". I understand the logic behind this, but many of our costumers seem to struggle with the "maximum persons: 1" bit when booking for multiple people.

    Ideally we would like to have the option which of our categories show the "maximum persons" tag.

  16. When sending a confirmation to a booker, the name of the guest does not appear on the confirmation letter but only the reservation number. This does not look professional at all and we receive many complaints by our guests. They feel like they are a number and not a guest.

  17. Show the guest that their promotional code had worked right when they put it in the booking engine

    The guest enters the promotion code, then the next page, they are choosing a category, but it doesn’t show the promotional rate until the following page.
    If the promotional rate didn’t work, the guest wouldn’t know. When the guest puts in the promotional code - there should be something that indicates, "this worked!"

  18. Possibility to show on the booking engine ONLY the rooms available to book once a date has been selected and not show the one already booked and not available anymore.
    From a sales point of view, we would rather show the rooms we sell and not the one we already have sold.
    If a visitor on our website wish to book a specific room type, which in this case is not available anymore, he will most likely book somewhere else. It does not add any value to our property to show the guest what is already fully booked.

  19. differentiate the markup by competitor. EG: Booking =114%, HRS=110%, Weekendesk=120%,etc., because markup percentages are different per company.
    Now it is only possible to give One markup for all chosen Competitors.

  20. Currently, when booking with Mews Booking Engine, it won't allow me to use the payment cards stored in 1password.
