Bed Configuration Option in Booking Engine
We have a large amount of room types that have King beds capable of being converted into Twin configuration. Rather than choosing a set amount of rooms to sell as "Twin" we would prefer to make it an OPTION for the guest to choose their bed configuration. That way the full quantity of splittable beds is available to sell on our booking engine. Additionally, from an operational perspective we know 100% which bed configuration guests require. Splitting beds (or combining them to a King) is very labour intensive and has cost implications from a linen/bedding perspective. Having clear options at the start of the guest journey would eliminate this as an issue.

This would be extremely helpful when we receive last minute bookings with no specific set up

Running a small hotel with no receptionist or house keeping team on site later in the day makes the Zip rooms very difficult to manage if the guest has not been asked or given the option to select Twin or Double. Since we moved to MEWS this has been a big problem having to lose people from a different area of the business, while very busy, to manically try and turn a Double into a Twin or visa versa and all why the guest has to wait.

I have received lots of feedback across our hotel group, that reception are needing to go and zip/unzip and remake beds on guest arrival due to not knowing how the room should be setup before the guest arrives.

Hello,
For our multi-site business this is essential for the day-to-day operation of our hotels. Operating at 100% occupancy regularly means we struggle to change reservations which can therefore lead to complaints and lost revenue. The option to select either twin or double will greatly improve the guest journey as well as making it easier for both the housekeeping and reception teams -

This is very important feature to us as a small hotel, not having this option on the booking engine costs alot of time if we need to change a room when customer arrives and also effects the customer experience. It also makes it hard to calculate linen orders

This is becoming more of an issue for us. Even after labelling the booking engine clearly guests are not leaving us a note in the notes section. It would be great to create a required field that needs to be selected. This required field could also be used for other use cases not just the set up for a zip and link bed.
