  2. When splitting a booking, it creates a new booking, and pick ups in any RMS. Please don't consider a booking as a new received booking, as it false pick up and data.

  3. One should be able to insert in the configuration the lowest rate to be typed when updating rates (BAR) so that no typing error can be made (for instance 9 instead of 99).

  4. the monthly timeline is already a lot better to deal with long-stay enquiries, however, we have just oversold our property due to the fact that a short stay was not showing up on the monthly time line. we thought we had the full three months available when we didn't.
    this is of course not acceptable meaning we are not able to use the monthly view.
    may i suggest perhaps a weekly view? or just make the fields smaller (half or quarter their current width).

    This functionality has been released in a limited scope (only bookings longer than 30 days are displayed). We are moving it to the backlog and will get back to it later.

  5. When creating products you can only select one category. Which means when creating routing rules. You have to create a product for each ratecode each time. Which will create an unnecessary long product list. Please create a drop down menu where you give the option to select multiple categories.

  7. Being able to create Master and sub-blocks within availability blocks. Scenario: Conference blocks - representatives from different companies/company entities attending which need to be billed separately.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are happy to inform you that we are currently beta testing this new functionality, themed "multi-group blocks".

    Multi-group blocks

    Multi-group blocks will enable you to create multiple groups with up to 750 reservations each in a single block. This means that you will no longer have to create multiple blocks for large groups which is typically of blocks created for up 1 year for travel agency contracts. They can now all be automatically linked to a single block, effectively giving you 2 types of blocks 1) Single group blocks and 2) multi-group blocks.

    Multi-group blocks are a prerequisite to activating rolling release dates, as they prepare your property for handling large groups. You can learn more about the features that will be made available to beta testers in the recording linked below:

  8. There should be a possibilty to round up rates as customors wish. As per example here in Switzerland the smallest coin is CHF 0.05. Some prices, e.g. set up with a percentage off the base rate, are shown as CHF 181.07

  9. It would be nice if you could write a comment for the team on open invoices in the settlement window, or if you could "lock" the invoice for other colleagues to edit.

    This can be very helpful, for example, if you Have to consult with the customer regarding the invoice and want to mark this so that someone else does not write to the customer again.

  10. We need to differentiate the accounting category of the same type of transaction with different currencies. For example: Cash payment in CZK could have different accounting category than Cash payment in EUR.

  11. Housekeepers change dirty stayover rooms to clean after a stayovercleaning. The room status does not change automatically overnight. As the guest is the day after also a stay over and needs cleaning aswell.

    The housekeeping system in Mews is currently based off cleaned rooms being inspected by a supervisor including for overnight stays. When rooms are inspected, they are then turned dirty overnight.

    Would you be able to share some examples of why rooms would not be inspected by a supervisor or manager for overnight stays?

    Could you add a option to make new "Space type" yourself, or at least add more options like cabin and lodge so it easier to keep types appart

  13. We should be able to modify rates for multiple room categories at once. When we modify rates for a given period we should be able to select the period and then enter the rate for each category of rooms instead of having to click - re-enter the dates and then the rate.
    It takes 3 times to amount it should take to have a more dynamic rate strategy!

  14. Currently we have several rooms with King beds that can be split into a Twin configuration. When the Housekeeping team "Clean" the room , it would be great to have an additional status option which they can choose to identify the current bed configuration - i.e. has the room been cleaned and reset to a "King" configuration or a "Twin" configuration. This would help greatly for Reservations staff when allocating rooms, as well as give clear guidance to Front Desk staff for walk-ins.

  15. When I enter a block pattern (example: 4-7-5-5-3) the system makes me pick the rooms up as if I have 4 rooms staying for one night, then 7 rooms staying for one night, then 5 rooms staying for 2 nights etc. instead of staggered arrivals with different lengths of stay like blocks typically are. Can that be changed?

    Thank you for your suggestion. Availability blocks in Mews allow for availability to be adjusted per space category per day as you have described above. When availability is adjusted, a set number of spaces are removed from public availability per day. 

    It is possible to support staggered arrival dates within an availability block, however the arrival dates are limited within the contractual constraints agreed upon i.e the number of spaces made available per day. 

    Based on your example above, it appears that you are referring to run of house reservations. Is that the case?

  16. If the total of a bill is a negative number it should automatically be raised as a credit note instead of an invoice. We should not have to manually select that it is a credit note.

  17. Guest Credit Limit report to mitigate the risk of potential for bad debt write offs in the event of a client dispute and of being unable to recover monies owing, resulting in bad debt write-offs. Allows for a a daily review and follow up with guests when balance above hotel's limit. Ensure no guest ledger folios with cash status and debit balance outstanding.

  19. Currently you can set "reservation assignment strategy" to manage how rooms are allocated to reservations (e.g. top down, bottom up etc.). This works well, except there are a couple of rooms that we would like to allocate as "last sell". i.e. all other rooms get allocated automatically according to the reservation assignment strategy, with the exception of certain room numbers, which would get allocated last if the hotel was to be fully occupied.

  20. it doesn't seem possible to move individual reservations from one group to another.
    for example if you have a recurring (annual) group and have by mistake added a booking to the previous year, you are not able to move just one reservation to the current year.
    merging groups is not an option, in this case.
