  1. Add an extra column to the timeline to add certain importnat and rate / occupancy related events such as conventions, sport, concert, in-house. Column should be right under the dates.

  2. Access to reservations, but read only. This is useful for smaller properties where for example the security guard needs to check passports/ID to make sure the correct person is in front of them.

    But then don't give them the access to make any changes to them.

  3. If there are multiple public rates within the same rate group, MEWS will only display the cheapest option in the booking engine.

    This causes issues for us for example when publishing our Christmas packages. They would both fall under the same rate group (PKG - Package incl. breakfast in this example), but since one package includes dinner and the other one a *****, only the cheaper ***** package will be shown to our guests.

    Now we worked our way around it by creating an additional rate group for the dinner package, however this is causing us to create…

  4. If a guest books a specific product such a pet, the task will be automatically created for the HSK team to insert a dog bed in the room.
    If the guest books a champagne/wine on arrival, an automated task will be created for RS to prep the champaign and bring to the room

    Define a commission rate attached to a TA (see possible rules, but at least a % on room rate or total stay) 
    Attach or detach automatically (OTA) or manually a TA to a reservation  
    Calculate and store TA commissions

  6. When a guest e-mail address bounces, it would be helpful if and when a task is created in order to have a notification (and thus an actionable moment) for staff to verify and check the e-mail proactively, and not have the guest wait for an e-mail because of a typo...

  7. In housekeeping operations, efficiency and planning are key. Currently, housekeepers rely on a “fixed” amount of time per space, depending on the category, features, and other variables. To streamline this process, it would be highly beneficial to introduce a dedicated field within the Space Category settings for allocating the average time required to clean each space type.

    Example Time Allocations:

    Standard Room: 20 minutes
    Junior Suite: 45 minutes
    Shared Dormitory with 6 Beds: 1 hour

  8. The summary of guest balance on the check-out page is pretty nice and allows us to see with a quick glance if the guest has something left to pay when leaving.
    It would be much better if that summary only showed the balance for the current stay and not the future stays of the guest.
    Most of our regulars have dozens of stays booked in advance and the check-out summary shows the total for all of them which is completely irrelevant during check-out.

  10. It should be possible to set the order of the rates yourself in the reservation form. At the moment it is apparently incomprehensibly coincidental.

    The ordering works in the settings but not in the reservation form.
    It is very annoying when you have to open the dropdown menu every time because the most booked rate is not displayed first.

  12. Currently to get to the details section of a booking you have to click on the booking, move the mouse, and click detail.
    We should be able to just double-click the booking on the timeline and go directly into the details of the booking.

  13. When generating the reservation report using the parameters in the drop-down lists, why can't we tick several items (like it's possible for the segments), but for all ? e.g. room categories or rates or nationalities or countries etc ?

  14. It is absolutely necessary to have separate note categories for different departments. Reservations notes are often cluttered with automatic comments from OTAs and those are shown to housekeeping, too. It cannot be expected from housekeeping staff to weed through a sea of notes to find the relevant information for each room. This must be a separate note cetegory where reservation or front office can enter only a short comment for housekeeping (like "baby cot" or "allergy friendly blankets") - this field should be displayed in the app for HK and/or the housekeeping report.

  15. We often change how a promotional rate is priced, sometimes off BAR, then we might change it to equal AAA, or some other rate from our RMS. Currently if I want to change the base rate being used, I have to delete the entire rate plan and rebuild a new one.

  16. Would be very useful to have a report in Mews that lists our hotel's most loyal guests, who have stayed/spent the most. This would make it easier to identify the guests e.g. for recognition purposes.

  18. The ability to add ages for our Family room reservations. Our family rooms accommodate 3 adults or 2adlt and max. 2 children up to 11
    As this feature is not available we have set up the room occupancy for 3 persons; either 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child so we currently lose bookings from families with 2 adults and 2 children. If we allow a room occupancy of 4 persons we start receiving bookings with 4 adults and our sofa bed is not equipped to take the weight of 2 adults

  19. First of all, the app works great for us. But please make it possible to set a default on own preferences. As an example. We would like to see the tasks always on date type: 'deadline'. But the app shows it standard on 'created'.

  20. We greatly appreciate Mews Timeline. However, we are repeatedly making mistakes in recognizing what the arrival dates of reservations are. The confusion is that Monday Bookings are aligned under the word “Tuesday”, Tuesday’s under "Wednesday", and Wednesday’s bookings under "Thursday", etc. (it's left aligned)

    A simple fix for this would be to provide an option for us to select “Right Align” for the whole of the “DAY” row. This option would be very much appreciated.
