  1. Once a reservation is canceled in Mews, unfortunately it must be recreated in case a guest decides they would like to stay. This can be inconvenient in case of no shows that must come the next day or reservations that may have been canceled accidentally. An additional feature to reinstate canceled bookings could help simplify these occasions as all booking details could be preserved and records would be unified.

  3. Our invoices need to be emailed directly to companies (i.e. Travel Agents or Businesses) directly. Currently you can only email to Customer Profiles, yet all the contact information for companies are stored in the Company profile. We move chargeback items to a Company Bill, so it seems illogical to then not be able to email the invoice directly to that company?

    We waste so much valuable time saving the PDF down and manually sending the invoice through Gmail. There is a lot of room for human error here, where invoices don't ever get sent out.

  5. MEWS currently does not support allotment.
    For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. The alternative is to enter bookings as optional with release dates…

    In this video, I am excited to introduce you to the next chapter of Group Management in Mews with Allotments.


    Allotments is a combination of multiple features that allow for better contract management with travel agencies and corporate groups. I will highlight key elements, such as multiple release rules and pick-up distribution, which provide more flexibility and automation.

  6. Add a remove/delete option for the items you add in the billing section. Rigth now the only option to remove/delete it is to post another item/service/product (in negative).

  7. We are a Boutique hotel with 40 rooms without meeting rooms. Located In between centre of Amsterdam and a large (RAI) conference Centre. In case of large conferences or Events in the city we can sell at higher rate than leisure. Because these city wide conference are known for years ahead we like to have a space on top of timeline to place the name of the event with warning like "only sell high' or 'do not offer to groups' .

  9. Consumption date of once products is not shown on the Guest in house report. This report is used by the F&B team to determine whether a specific guest has purchased breakfast or not on a particular day. Product report does not show room numbers and therefore cannot be used when guests come to the restaurant.

    Please add the consumption date of "Once" products so it can be easily visible on a single report without needing to add notes.

  10. As housekeeping complete their daily tasks, they often add special items to prepare for arriving guests. For this reason, it's very important that housekeeping staff is up to date on any notes or special instructions that come along with each assignment. Adding customer notes within the Commander application could provide much needed insight, so your staff will always be informed of important facts and ready to welcome your guests properly.

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are very happy to announce that you are now able to view reservation notes in the Mews mobile app.

    In order to view notes, select a reservation in the Mews web application > and add a note from the properties tab. Once the note has been saved, you will be able to view the note in the space details section of the Mews mobile app.

  11. Currently, you can distinguish reservations on Timeline by once that are checked-in or not. However, with this feature, you will have a better visual difference between departures, arrivals and more.

  12. Would be nice if the room number shows up behind the name while using the search bar. If you look up a name now, you have to click on the name before you see the room number.

  13. Report that will show how many nights have been booked on each day in future within selected period of time

    A pickup report could identify any times that require additional attention, including data about occupancy for each day in the selected interval.

  14. Have a drop down that allows your to sort the timeline in different ways.
    eg.
    - by room category/room type (current)
    **** by room number *** (MOST IDEAL UPDATE)
    - by room location
    - top floor/bottom floor
    - interconnecting
    etc.

Groups configuration We need to have Group blocks i.e. *When we assign a booking code to a group booking, and the clients will reserve the rooms in the IBE, the PMS should understand that the room reserved need to be picked up from the block. Groups configuration We need to have Group blocks / allotments i.e. *To be able to use billing instructions (routing) in the group block, that will update all reservations

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!

    On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period

    Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.

    Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.

  17. It would be useful to have a mail template to be sent a few days before the guest arrival, as a reminder, but also to let them have directions to the hotel, useful info regarding events during their stay etc.

    We have template called “Before start” which is automatically sent 48 hours before the guest’s arrival.

    This template is partially customizable. You can customize Subject, Headline, and Paragraph. (please see the attachment)

  18. It could be awesome to be able to add different colours or notes to some dates in the Rate Management calendar so we can mark some special dates as holly weeks, special events, etc to pay attention to the rates on those days

  19. Rate restrictions are currently uneditable in Mews, meaning that even for a minor change, you must delete the old one and create an entirely new restriction.

  20. It would be very nice to see the room number of the guest in the tasks list in the Mews Commander and the mews commander app.
    If the housekeeping is using only the app, they can't see the reservation and therefore the room number.

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.
