Have an allotment as part of the block feature recently released
MEWS currently does not support allotment.
For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. The alternative is to enter bookings as optional with release dates but again, only one release date at the time can be added and this is also too much time consuming.

This feature is the very standard in hospitality and should be brought to Mews rapidly. It makes no sense that you have to pay extra from an external company (via the marketplace) to do this.

As an upcoming PMS system you would expect that this feature would be available without having to pay another company. Allotments are a standard part of Hospitality.

for large groups and when making use of an availability block, it would be helpful to create multiple release dates and have the option to auto release yes/no

For us, as a starting hotel in a not so well known place, allotments are of great importance for us and we do depent on them.
We understand MEWS' view on allotments and we agree on some points, However, for a starting hotel they are really important. It would be wonderfull if MEWS could mean even more for us as they do at the moment and implement an allotment opprtunity.

I know how your policy is on allotments but many hotels still use it and by you not supporting it will not make it go away. As a holiday resort we do need to be able to make allotments to be able to work with tour operators at all. we would higly appreciate if you could give us this option to work with.

We don´t need "even more exciting major releases" when Mews is not ready, willing, whatever to have basic ideas that a lot of "Mewsers" need and want. And the "argument" that "we at Mews are not believing in allotments" is not an argument.
We have a lot of call in allotments as we are not far from congress center, fair groun and - we are specialized with our meeting product in conferences for universities, research foundations, NGO etc. - and they are not abel to reserve fixed blocks but thexy need call in allotments, as no government, EU and other are willing to pay for cxl rooms - which would be paid by all our taxes.
Call ins are mandatory to get the meeting business and this business means a very lot to us!
So, sorry to say that, please have an ear at your customers....!
