  2. We see the need for being able to set accounting categories as inactive. As for today, they must be marked as "do not use" or similar to avoid linking them to products etc. This causes issues for the ERP systems.

    We can't delete these categories entirely because they may be linked to past transactions and need to be kept for auditing and historical purposes.

  4. At the moment, when filtering the payment requests in the payment report, they are displayed but when you click on export to Excel, there is no data about payment request. Which makes it impossible to track. Since the payment request is one of the filter provided, it should be available in the payment report excel document

  5. Currently the 'Optional Reservations' and 'Optional Blocks' are available in the dashboard view of the Availability & Occupancy Report. However, this data is not included in the export. Please make this data available in the export as well so we can work with it.

  6. It would be helpful to have a view-only access to the rates and rategroups in the settings so that employees, who are not admins in Mews, can see the conditions and policies of all rates.

    Alternatively, it would be a big help to be able to see the rate description on the reservation when hovering over the rate with the mouse. Right now, if you are not an admin in Mews, you are not able to find or see the rate descriptions of for example OTA bookings, which is impacting our daily operations. This add on would be a great…

  7. Currently, tasks in Mews can only be marked with a deadline and then completed. However, it would be very helpful to have an additional status — such as “In Progress” — to indicate when someone has already started working on a task.

    This would greatly improve team communication and coordination, especially in situations where multiple users might otherwise pick up the same task or wonder whether it’s already being handled.

    Having a clear task lifecycle (e.g. To Do → In Progress → Done) would provide more visibility and reduce confusion.

  8. Hello,

    We would like to be able to add a ''buffer period'' or preparation time between rentals, especially for hourly rentals.

    For example, if a guests rents a bike from 9 to 10am, and my buffer is 1 hour, then it will only be available to rent again from 11 am.

    This will prevent guest overlap if they are a few minutes early or late.

  9. It would be very practical to be able to make a reservation without having to specify the occupants. For example, for company seminars where some rooms remain unoccupied despite the hotel being privatised, we are obliged to add at least one adult to the booking, even if the room is empty. This complicates management and does not reflect reality.

  10. Make company owned reservations possible.
    It will allow to manage corporate clients more effectively by associating company profiles with reservations.
    Provide a comprehensive view of all bookings associated with a corporate account. As well highly useful for hotels that offer coworking spaces, where companies own a office space.

  13. It would be nice to turn around to guest journey in the booking engine, so the guest are presented for the different prices and/or packages first and then then can select which room type they would prefer.

    Adding a calendar to show prices would also be great.

  14. When you dowload an excel rooming list from a group reservation, all reservations are shown in a random order on the excel sheet, and this is not possible to change! Preferably I would like to at least have the reservations sorted by arrival date, but that is not the case right now. It would be good if the default sorting was the arrival date. Or it would be even better if you could change the sorting yourself however you like, but right now since the excel sheet is locked it is not possible. Please look into this.

  15. Currently, you can filter out the report by specific Service or Accounting Categories for the revenue portion.

    However, we cannot filter out Payments "associated" and recorded for that specific revenue. Especially if we are looking at specific POS Room Charge Revenue that is posted on the rooms.

    It would be useful to be able to do so for further analysis.

  18. We’re running into the same issue almost daily. A guest checks into a room, stays only a few minutes or an hour, then switches to another room. Mews immediately flips that first room back to “Dirty,” even though it was fully cleaned and inspected earlier that day.

    Housekeeping ends up wondering why a clean room suddenly looks like it needs a full turnover when, in reality, it only needs a quick touch-up. It slows the team down and creates unnecessary backtracking.

    What we really need are two things:

  19. Current Behavior:

    • Registration cards can be printed, but the print order does not reflect the sequence configured in Mews.
    • Each guest and companion currently receives separate registration cards, even when they share the same room.

    Problem:

    • The print logic ignores the user-defined order, likely due to a static sort or default template behavior.
    • Printing separate cards for guests and companions increases paper usage and operational overhead.

    Proposed Solution:

    1. Ordering Logic: Update the print functionality to dynamically apply the configured order from registration card settings when generating print jobs.

  20. I would like to request a small development regarding the deposit payments in customer's bill.
     
    Could you please add two new fields on the deposit payment rows:
    - The payment date of the deposit
    - The consumption date of the deposit
     
    These additions would greatly help us in tracking the right deposit when we have done some corrections for the deposit.
