Filter Options: Use the filter options to assign spaces based on criteria like space types, status, and floors. This helps in narrowing down the spaces visible to each housekeeper.
Access Control: Unfortunately, the Mews Housekeeping App does not currently support restricting access based on working days or preventing the use of filter options entirely. Housekeepers can still see all spaces but can only update the status of those assigned to them.1 vote -
billing
When I click on the Billing button, it currently opens the active bill rather than displaying all open bills. To view the remaining open bills, I then have to click on “All Guests’ Bills.”
While this is not a major issue, it does add an extra step to the checkout process. If clicking the Billing button could instead display all open bills by default, it would help streamline the workflow and make the checkout process more efficient, seamless and remove that one 'extra click'1 vote -

Bitte fügt als zusätzlichen Stornierungsgrund "Krankheit" hinzu. Dies ist der meist genannte Grund für eine Stornierung. Wenn ich "Sonstiges" auswähle und dann als Detail "Krankheit" eingebe, wird auf der Rechnung mit den Stornogebühren als Grund "Sonstiges" angezeigt. Wenn der Gast diese Rechnung seiner Versicherung einreicht für die Rückerstattung, ist diese Formulierung sehr unglücklich, dort müsste zwingend "Krankheit" stehen. Covid-19 als Grund könnt ihr gerne entfernen, diesen Grund brauchen wir zum Glück schon länger nicht mehr.

Cross-Category Space Updates (Tracking Upgrade Impact)
The Idea
Allow users to change the Assigned Space Category across different major categories (e.g., from Bed to Room) without forcing an update to the Requested Space Category.
The Proposed Workflow
When a user moves a reservation between space categories, Mews should trigger a simple confirmation window.
The original button of "update requested category" should remain as it is, in case the user prefer to updated it.
The system should not force the Requested Category to match the new Assignment.

Scheduling YTD Manager's Report
The format of viewing the Manager's Report on the screen with "Year Overview" is helpful. Showing Previous Day, MTD and YTD totals. However, it does not work to schedule this report for automatic distribution. The data is not accurate.

Ability to use the same e-mail for a separate reservation under a different name
We need the ability to use the same e-mail for a different reservation. Why that isn't available is beyond me. We DO NOT want to use the "group" reservation option. We prefer that both reservations be totally separate.
BUT for some reason MEWS does not allow an e-mail to be used more than once.1 vote -
New Ledger with Pre-set filters and bring back exports
With the updated (01/2026) Guest Ledger, there's improved visibility, but there's no pre-set filters. Would make life much easier.
Also, no exports NOR scheduled reports available anymore.
Please bring the function for exports and reports back.

Our rates are based on age. However, it's difficult to know the exact age of each person unless we go into each profile and calculate it individually. This is neither simple nor practical, for individuals nor groups.
Would it be possible to display the age of each person, perhaps in parentheses, right after their name in the booking details? This would make it clearer for everyone.

Fire Attention & Fire List
I believe Mews needs a dedicated "Fire Attention" feature to enhance guest safety during emergencies. The implementation would ideally include:
Flagging System: A simple checkbox on both the Reservation and Guest Profile levels to mark "Fire Attention". If checked on the profile, it should remain a permanent attribute to ensure returning guests are always accounted for.
Dashboard Integration: A new "Fire List" section under the "Guests In House" report.
Report Functionality: This list must be accessible with a single click and organized by room number. It should clearly display:
Room number and guest count.
Guest names and age categories.

Tracking guests
Have the option to link a guest, or add a line item in the profile, when the stay is with a group. We don't necessarily see these guests after their group stay and would allow us to keep our database tracked and either target these guests for conversion, or stop tracking in the database

guest preference
In customer profile :`Add in a box for Guest preferences (room type, side of building, room number, etc), and have it pop-up or appear on the first booking screen when creating a booking through MEWS ops. At the moment, we need to track down the preference notes in the profile (under many tabs), go back and update the booking, instead of having it on hand easily when creating the booking. Same for allergies/food preferences or membership status

Exclude OOO Rooms from Housekeeping-Interval
We have basement rooms that we only use in emergencies. These rooms are normally locked throughout the year.
Currently we have to report the rooms as clean every morning so that they do not appear in hotelkit for room cleaning.
It would be great if OOO rooms could be excluded from the housekeeping interval.

Sortierung Print-Anreiseliste
Es wäre schön, wenn man die Anreise-/Abreiseliste nach Nachnamen oder Zimmernummern sortieren könnte. Die Option "Gruppieren nach" nimmt viel zu viel Platz weg.

Move Add Product Sidebar
When you add a product you cannot see the bill balance. Posting a new charge or adjustment to close the bill becomes unnecessarily inefficient. I'd like to propose moving the bill balance, the add product sidebar, or displaying the bill balance in the sidebar for easier reconciliation. Just not great UI.

Business package handling in PMS and kiosk view
we would like to ask for guidance regarding the handling of Business Packages, as we are currently facing significant operational challenges in daily use.
From our perspective, the key requirement is that the Business Package is displayed as one single bundled item
both in the PMS from a staff perspective
and in the kiosk view for guestsIt should not be split into individual components such as wifi, drinks or food.

disable create keys for specific service or room category
we want to be able to disable the "create keys" for a specific service or a room category. For example conference rooms that we have as a separate service in Mews have traditional metal keys or for the Parking where they only need a code we would like to have the "create keys" option NOT ticked.

Add Display Tasks option to the space status to filter
In the space status report, in the filter, under Options, add the option Display Tasks for our Housekeeping to see if any important things need to be added to the room.
Im Raumstatus report, im Filter, füge unter Optionen, Aufgaben anzeigen hinzu. Damit Housekeeping besser sehen kann ob das Zimmer noch etwas benötigt.

Bulk deactivate/delete rates/products/product rules
In other systems its common that you can delete/deactivate certain things via a multiple selection. It would be great if that was also available for the above mentioned within Mews.

Hi MEWS Community,
We currently use non-refundable rates, but on Booking.com we still allow a certain level of flexibility:
Guests can modify their stay dates prior to arrival with no penalty for the cancelled nights. The stay itself remains non-refundable, only date changes are permitted.This flexibility works very well for us commercially and helps reduce full cancellations while keeping the revenue secured.
However, we’re finding it difficult to replicate this exact logic in MEWS.

Additional services revert to previous owner at check-in
Summary
When changing the bill owner, additional services (e.g. breakfast and breakfast adjustment) initially follow the new owner correctly. However, as soon as the guest checks in, these items revert back to the previous Reservation Owner due to default billing automation.Current impact
Manual changes done before check-in are undone
Creates daily manual work (15+ bills)
Increases risk of billing errors
