  5. To enable Mews Digital Keys onsite through the Mews Kiosk. Expansion of Digital Key not only through Guest Portal online check in functionality but also onsite at Kiosk.

  6. Ability to enter a nickname for the guest (preferred name) that is not part of their legal names, sio it would allow staff to address guests accordingly.

  7. There would be two useful improvements to the online check-out of guests.
    1. the date is not shown for additional services. For example, the guest has consumed 10 beers in 10 days. However, the guest only sees 10 beers in the online check-out. Not when he has consumed which beer. This can sometimes lead to confusion.

  8. There exists a "Booking Abandoned" flow (the 15mins offset) in the booking engine configuration. However, this flow does not apply to Availability Block Reservations picked up via that same booking engine link. It would be great to consider the same rule for these types of reservations as well.

  9. the employees at the front office who process early check-ins and therefore check the room status often start the check-in process because the room status is inspected, yet only because the room is not yet checked out. Only at check-out room status moves to dirty.

    Unfortunately, the pop-up on the tablet (Kiosk in staff mode) that the room is not ready for occupancy only comes after the guest has entered their data and signed.

    Would be great if there would be a sign if the room is still occupied, in the check-in screen or if the room moves to dirty…

  10. Only request necessary data
    At the moment, the Austrian online check-in only asks for the data that is actually required by the authorities. In the kiosk, however, all data of all persons including address are requested. You should also set the same requirements in the kiosk as in the online check-in.

  12. Allow guests to create optional reservations in the Mews Booking Engine instead of directly confirming. This should trigger the quotation email allowing the guest to review the details of their stay, pay a deposit and confirm the reservation (applicable to long stay guests)

  13. Our little Hotel has doors with PIN Code to allow 24h Checkin.
    We need a mandatory "Mobile Phone" field on the reservation form as a data input for the guest profile in order to later send out the Chekin PIN Codes to the guests arriving via SMS.

    We do this since 15 years now with an old booking engine. We decided to change to a new 360 PMS system and found Mews. But now in the onboarding process we had to discover that Mews has no such field. Thus we can not continue to send Checkin SMS Pin Codes to…

  14. Set up an alert in Mews to notify when a guest's gender does not match the room's designated gender. For example, if a guest's profile is marked as Male but the room is designated for a Female, Mew will display an alert: "The guest's gender does not match the room type. Would you like to proceed with the check-in?"

  15. Can you add the week numbers to the timeline as many guests ask about availability of a certain week number before booking a date. This would improve the speed of me answering their questions and a better overview.

  16. Net Properties would like to see the breakdown of total cost in Confirmation and Quotation Emails between Net + Tax, and then Gross Value.

    1. We would like to make it possible to add a baby and a child (up to 12 yo) on some rooms, but in MEWS I can only put extra capacity for either 1 or 2 people. When I put down 2 people it gives guests the option to put two children up to 12yo in the room. Is it also possible to distinguish age groups in this capacity? So that guest can only add 1 child and 1 baby, and not two children?

  17. At our property we have limited parking spots available to our guest. At this moment the option to book a parking spot is hidden in the list of products in the engine when parking is fully booked. However, it would be great if the bookings engine could show it as sold out/fully booked. This would help us receiving fewer questions and not having to disappoint guest when we let them know they cannot park after they made their room reservation.

  18. For us, there is no reason for still show any categories without availability. It's only a distraction to the potential guest. Please add a function which allows to hide the non available categories.

  19. I limit the ability to book more than 360 in advance as we have MANY guests that book year after year. We found that people that wanted stay here were trying to book rooms out from under current guests so we limited the availability online to stop this from happening. By making this restriction we have made it so reservations can not book our current guests either. In addition we do not do same day booking on the internet.
