Sehr geehrtes MEWS-Team,
zunächst möchten wir betonen, wie zufrieden wir mit Ihrem PMS sind. MEWS ist aus unserer Sicht ein hervorragend durchdachtes System, das viele Prozesse im Hotelalltag effizient und intuitiv gestaltet – dafür ein großes Kompliment!
Dennoch möchten wir einen konkreten Verbesserungsvorschlag zum Angebotsmanagement anregen:
Aktuell führt die Angebotsdarstellung bei Gruppenanfragen (z. B. bei einer Buchung von 10 Zimmern) zu einer sehr unübersichtlichen Darstellung. Der Gast erhält eine lange Liste einzelner Zimmerangebote, was die Übersichtlichkeit und Vergleichbarkeit stark einschränkt.
Zudem ist es derzeit nicht möglich, die verschiedenen Zimmerkategorien mit ihren jeweiligen Preisen separat und klar strukturiert darzustellen. Dies erschwert sowohl…3 votes -

es wäre super, wenn nach Eingabe der Postleitzahl die Stadt automatisch ausgefüllt wird.

Preferred space features
The preferred space features of the internal > guest profile, should be the same as those we customize for bookable services. This would make this feature really useful. Otherwise, I don't think we're providing the right experience for the guest.

duplicate key
Have the option of either making a new room key or a duplicate room key. So you can make a copy without the old key being deactivated

promoted services
When choosing initial room guest can add promoted services. Once promoted service is added, if the guest wants to add another room from primary service ("+Add another item") promoted services are not offered any more.
It would be helpfull if promoted services are always offered when choosing the item from the primary service.3 votes -
Change the order of languages available in the kiosk
It would be useful to have the control over which order the languages are shown on the Kiosk.For example: in our properties, most customers are French, and French is way down the list. It would be great to have it as the second option in the language menu.

Only available times visible in booking engine
Only available time slots visible in booking engine on first page, not after you already have chosen a time slot on the first page (ie. if the service booked from 11-12 or 18-19, they would not be even as an alternative, but only times between 12-18 and 19-21 for example.

It would be very helpfull to show more than 2 options for room upgrades in Guest portal and during check in in Kiosk.

Internals already visible on reservation screen
We would like to see profile internals, after typing the guest name in reservation. Now the "customer field" shows only name and e-mail - can we get internals on this line also? Would help a lot fx returning guest or preferences.

Allow upsells for grouped reservations in Online check in
Current Guest Portal was implemented with limitation: “Service cross-sells are offered for single reservations only”.
We would like to have upsells offered for grouped reservations, including grouped reservations created in Booking engine from promoted services as well.3 votes -
Optional 'Display marketing email opt-in' for Canada
Disabling the “Display marketing email opt-in” option in Registration card configuration is only applicable to the registration card pdf. We were expecting that the “I’d like to occasionally receive marketing updates…” check-box would not show in the Booking engine, Online check-in and Kiosk. In Canada, any purchase would imply soft consent if we don't explicitly show the check box.

Confirmation of products purchased after online/kiosk check in
Guest is not getting any type of confirmation email after onlineor kiosk check in about the products purchased after after booking. For example if guest purchased products during kiosk check in, thet should be listed in Check in confirmation email. Currently, guests have no track of products purchased in Guest experience

Add AI functionality to the booking engine
A useful feature would be to incorporate a simple AI tool that proposes alternative available rooms to guests, allowing them to switch if their preferred room isn’t available for the entire stay.

Remove guest count in booking engine for bookable services that are independent of guest count
For a bookable service for space like parking or bike, or similar a guest /adult count doesn’t make sense. It should be possible to disable the adult count field in the booking engine for that bookable service somehow.

Allow changing colors of placeholders
When changing colors of placeholders, it still appears blue on gmail accounts. Would be great to allow the change of color to apply across all apps to make it more consistent with overall branding for each property

Send confirmation email to channel reservations
Many properties operate with a multitude of connections to distribution partners:-
- Direct connectivity to Booking & Expedia (and I expect more in the future)
- A channel Manager ex. SiteMinder to connect to all the others
- A GDS / BE representing company like SynXis on behalf of Relais & Châteaux (RC) or Small Luxury Hotels (SLH)It should be possible when setting up Channel Managers (all of the above) or Distribution partners if this is a better terminology to indicate in the connection if a confirmation should be sent.
