  1. I think it would be very helpful to have the option to set customizable (per house, per user) templates for reports.

    In general I appreciate the flexibility in creating a report such as the reservation report.
    But if there is a report that is needed regularly, it can be a bit exhausting to everytime set all filters.
    To set up the scheduled exports is a solution only in case there is a fixed schedule. If we could have the option to select a template that would adjust the filters a certain way, this would be more than helpful and time…

  2. We work with several companies and agencies, and we need to adjust the vouchers according to the specific conditions of each reservation. Currently, some companies pay by bank transfer, and we must adapt our documents accordingly.
    Specific Requirements:

    Voucher Customization: Ability to dynamically modify the information displayed on the voucher based on the agreement with the client.
    Configuration Options:
        Do not include an email address.
        Do not store a credit card in the client's file; it should only be linked to the agency.
        If clients make additional purchases, the agency’s credit card will be charged. This is a major issue

    We would like to give you our feedback on the subject of reports. We have already discussed this issue with our contact person at MEWS, and apparently the reports we want to / can pull are a bit limited. So I am happy to share our feedback here and we hope it will soon be resolved and ready to help other hotels:

  5. Hi Mewsers,

    When searching through the product list I would find it very useful to be able to either filter or have it easy visible which products we are offering on our booking engine / guest portal.
    This because we have some products in the list 2 or 3 time because of the way they are charged (once / per night etc. etc.).

  6. We need the OPTION to pre-allocate rooms in an availability block. By the time we receive some rooming lists and pick-up the beds, other guests have already extended in a room and then ruined exclusivity in a section/floor; or if you sell beds in a hostel, the extensions have led to the availability block guests being split up over multiple different rooms.

  7. Currently Mews does not show rate group description and rate description when multiple rates are available within one rate group. This is not ideal for any hotel that may have multiple properties to manage as well as multiple reservationists. Its unreasonable to expect for reservationists and multiple property management to remember or recall information that is vital to relay to the guest at time of booking. Most hotels have multiple rates so this is a feature that is 100% missing and required for Mews tobe competitive in the PMS market for groups and PMS for hotels.

  8. Currently when a rate is setup as based upon another rate (base rate) it is only possible to setup one fixed adjustment. However, since we offer rates with and without breakfast, occupancy based adjustments need to be different between rates with and without breakfast (for example).

    Wouldn’t a setup option be nice that allows to not derive all room / occupancy prices from the base rate, but only derive the base rate by a certain adjustment and setup the occupancy adjustments and room type adjustments.

    So like:

    Base rate: xyz-Rate (← the one the new rate is derived from)

  9. Gender / Nationality / Date of birth by booking

    Could we make madatory for a guest who is booking to fill his Gender / Nationality / Date of birth as well ? Right now he only has to fill his last name, email and phone number.

    We have an all-female-dorm and some men keep booking it for some reasons. Gender with "Woman / Man / Non binary (or diverse?) at the moment of booking could really help us. As it is mandatory for us to have the nationality of the guest as well as his birth date, those could be…

  10. In the user management section, it would be nice to simply deactivate or reactivate user profiles. Sometimes users work for seasons and leave the company for a few months between seasons. Currently, if you want to stop the access to Mews, you have either to remove the rights of the user or you have to delete the profile and recreate a new profile when the user comes back. When you try to remove the rights, if will not work if the user has created export schedules. The only person who can remove the export schedules is the user himself. It…

  11. It would be helpful to receive email notifications if a OTA booking has been modified. We have direct integrations for Booking.com and Expedia but do not receive any sort of modification if a booking is modified.
    We have previously requested this feature via a support ticket but were told this would not be considered but I'm sure other hoteliers would find this helpful - particularly as some upgrades have not been modified via Mews.

  12. we've noticed that when creating a reservation manualy from the PMS, on the “Details” page, the confirmation mode defaults is “Do not send”. By changing the reservation status (to Requested or Optional) or even back to Confirmed, the confirmation mode automatically changes from “Do not send” to “Send”. This can be a source of error if the person making the reservation doesn't notice it. I think it would be preferable for the confirmation mode to default to “Do not send”, and for the person making the reservation to change it manually if necessary.

  13. When generating the reservation report using the parameters in the drop-down lists, why can't we tick several items (like it's possible for the segments), but for all ? e.g. room categories or rates or nationalities or countries etc ?

  14. Find an easier way to add notes to a bill. Such as billing info. To be able to add this information and save it before issuing the invoice. For example if the name of the bill can appear on the top of the invoice

  16. I am writing to request a change in the way the accounting report date filter works. Right now, the filter shows invoice statuses based on the invoice closure date. We need it to show invoice statuses based on the selected consumption date instead.

    For example, if we want to check if all invoices for August are closed, the report currently shows invoices with consumption dates in August as open if they were closed in September. We would prefer the report to show the invoice status as closed if it has been closed in the system, regardless of when it was…

  18. Enable Hover Functionality for Rate Notes in Reservation Overview

    It would be extremely useful to have the ability to view rate notes in the reservation overview by hovering over the rate name—similar to the functionality that’s already available when creating a reservation. Rate notes often include essential information regarding rate inclusions, restrictions, and conditions that are vital for quick reference.

  19. Creating a button where you can easily mark if a group can be invoiced on 1 bill - or if the rooms in the group will pay all separately. Right now all items of all bills have to be moved individually to 1 main bill. Having a button to make these changes with 1 click would save a lot of time!

  20. Currently, Mews only sends emails to the notifiable reservation sources are "Booking Engine", "Channel Manager" and "Commander.
    It doesn't happen for reservations created via API.
    We would like to add this source and receive notifications about reservations created via API.
