Rate Mixing
The system should be able to propose the cheapest rate possible to our guests (like booking.com does). Mixing the rates to offer the best deal is a guarantee to compete better against booking.com. Not mixing the rates allows booking.com to steal bookings from us. Exemple: you activate a Last Minute deal on the next 48h. A guest want to arrive today and stay for 3 days. On booking.com, he will see a rate mixed from the last minute rate (for the 2 first nights) and from another rate for the 3d night. On our booking engine, you will see either no rate at all either a rate that is more expensive than the mix of the last minute rate + another one.

It would be nice if one rate change per day is possible in a reservation. Currently you can select one rate in a reservation. If the guest stays for 2 or more nights and the second day has different restrictions than the first, this cannot be changed.
Example: We have a Rate Group/Rate Flexible (CXL 6 pm) and a Rate Group/Rate Semi Flexible (CXL 14 days). The guest arrives 1 day before the trade fair and stays 2 days during the trade fair, I can only select one rate for the entire period. The correct rate would be 1 night Flexible and 2 nights Semi Flexible. The reception must therefore enter 2 reservations.
Another example: Corporate customers receive a contractually agreed fixed rate, but receive a discount of X % during trade fairs. As rates can only be dependent or independent, 2 rates must be created and therefore the reception must create 2 reservations. This is incorrect for CheckIn and CheckOut.

FULLY AGREE. How much longer do you want to vote on this idea? It would be really a great relief to get this thing rolling. My earlier comments on this issue apparently disappeared?!

Totally agree - it causes issues for every department not being able to apply separate rates to separate nights under one booking.
We host weddings - where a guest may be a general residential guest one night and then a wedding guest on the second. The rates all have different payment and settlement rules, so they must be picked up as individual bookings rather than amending the price.
It causes issues for housekeeping, reception, sales, revenue management - pretty much everyone! -

This is very important planning wise for the housekeeping as well!
The housekeeping sees 25 departures and 25 arrivals while they could be stayovers.

As much as I appreciate Mews by now, other programs do it better.
So yes, it would be very helpful. -

When we have a 2=3 offer and the guest stay longuer we need to do another reservation for the 4th night

Very helpful also with event rates if guests arrive before or stay after a trade fair. The tedious work around with extended event rates and BARrate availability at the same time is nothing but additional complexity and a pricing disadvantage vs. OTS etc.

I do agree with Philippe. It is very important in order to be aligned with other host reservation rates.

We need to have the capability to have multiple rates to a reservation. Example, a weekday guest may book a BAR rate but wants to book a special promo rate on the weekend. Currently, the solution is to book two separate reservations or extend the existing reservation and make manual adjustments on specific days. This is a manual process and would like to see this automated.

sometimes we need to split the nightly rate as guests may wish to part-pay the amount (i.e. company pays for most of it, but guest pays for supplement).
currently you are only able to do this in advance by posting the supplement separately.
it would be handy if in retrospect you are able to split the nightly rate for some or all nights and allocate it to a new bill -

Would be good to have the ability to have a mid - stay rate change.
For example New Years eve package and additional nights on a BB rate. Currently have to make two separate reservations? -
Liset Bom commented
Yes please!! It would be very very very convenient with creating room keys as well.

Also with Booking.com bookings more rates with different policies are possible, like Fully Flex and Nonrefundable in one room-reservation. At this moment this results in MEWS in 1 reservation with 1 rate type (the rate of the first night at Booking.com) for the whole reservation.

Please implement this feature, not being able to do such a simple thing is ridiculous.

Helpful as well with LOS reporting where it keeps bookings together.

As guests create their bookings, sometimes they may be eligible to apply multiple rates, which would give them a better total price than selecting only one rate for the duration of their stay. Currently, the booking would've had to be split in order to apply both rates, however by introducing a rate blending feature, it would be possible to apply rates per night, which enables multiple pricing schemes for a single reservation.
