Imagine an airline company without this option :-).
I don't understand why we have to "upvote"...
No airline would be interested in a software that cannot restrict the number of seats per reservation. Not only on their own booking engine but also distributed to resellers...
In the hotel industry, it is the exact same idea. Yet the developers have an issue with that.
We need to block these group reservations.
(The small letters in the Terms & Conditions are not sufficient... we lose a lot of time explaining to the customer why the more they book, the higher the rate will be. And if the booking is made via a reseller (booking.com) it is much more complicated. And so one... )Benoit Thewys supported this idea ·

We will be looking into adding new payment methods in the future, and I would appreciate more to hear out which ones will help you more than others in a separate payment method ideas!

4 years later and still nothing... :-(
For the moment, the transaction fee on maestro, visa debit and other debit cards have Visa or Mastercard fee on which Mews take larger commission than if they develop a bancontact solution.
They will never develop something to loose money. The bancontact payment method on Mews will never see the light. But they will make you believe for years that they are thinking about it... so you do not even search for another cheaper solution.
Yada yada yada...

I believe we all agree that something must be done for this communication system. Nobody sees or answer it. You could at least send an email to the reception in order the know about the new message and answer it.
Another option would be to sign with a direct messaging channel manager. Maybe this is what you want us to do?

I totally agree with to the comment that Eric Kei kai wrote on April 8th 2018 (1.319 days ago !!). See below.
Our communication with our guests is essential.
And I would add that giving us the opportunity to send an email (I am speaking about the "before start email") but not even being able to add a paragraph in the text is just totally insane. Why are some automatic emails "HTML customizable" and some are just total plain text for thousands of days...Benoit Thewys supported this idea ·

This request is one of the proofs the users (us) do not lead the developments. Mews just don't listen. This functionality request is 1) a basic need 2) asked for ages 3) not difficult to implement... Unless you give a good reason, the inaction sends a message. Doesn't it?

We have the same issue with products that we sell via our channel manager. For products as a "late check-out", it is not a problem. For the rest, well, we need to delete it and to insert it again manually in order to get the correct consumption date (breakfast, restaurant reservation,...).
It takes time and multiply the risk of mistake.
An solution about this in order to simplify our task would be nice. -

We will need to do a thorough discovery on how it will affect prices and taxes for our clients globally and rethink how our system may have to be changed under the hood to accommodate this change. Thank you for sharing your suggestions.

I need to put rooms out of order this way: every Sunday and Monday until end of the year. + every Tuesday until march.
For the moment I need to close room by room (81 rooms), choosing the dates and all... It takes ages. So I do not do it and I must rely on external software to manage my actual availability, ADR and all.
And it will take, I bet 3 more years, to get the feature (as it is asked since 2019 already). Only, of course, if you are willing to sign a new contrat that double the costs of the previous one. Otherwise, you get nothing.
