It would be useful to have a mail template to be sent a few days before the guest arrival, as a reminder, but also to let them have directions to the hotel, useful info regarding events during their stay etc.88 votes
We have template called “Before start” which is automatically sent 48 hours before the guest’s arrival.
This template is partially customizable. You can customize Subject, Headline, and Paragraph. (please see the attachment)

When making optional bookings, this means we are holding a room/rooms but the booking is not confirmed.
If this bookings is never confirmed, we should have an status called released instead of cancelled, as you are not really cancelling the booking, you are releasing the booking.43 votes

Since Mews is a cloud solution and therefore accessible from anywhere, it is important that users are careful to log out once they are no longer using the platform. To help increase security measures, a feature could be implemented to automatically log out Mewsers who have been inactive for a certain period of time. After this predetermined interval, users would then have to reenter their user details to access Mews again.42 votes
I love the new feature that the guest can contact us via chat. However, it's not very easy that the guestchat and the intern chat is on the same page. also it is not possible to delete a person in the group (for example when they left, or acidentaly add the wrong person) also a delete button for a chat would be great (intern). does the guest chat also be saved in their37 votes

When managing different hotels, it is hard to see on which hotel you are logged in. Everything is Black/White. The only thing to differentiate is the small logo on the right corner. (As our logos are also B/W, you have to look carefully). If we could set the whole background in a specific colour, we could differentiate more easily and avoid mistakes... The aim is above all to identify more clearly on which hotel you are logged in. The colour is just an idea.32 votes

City tax is very complicated and often includes several conditions and limitations that are specific to each legal environment. Currently, each property must be careful to apply this city tax according to their own legal requirements, however integrating this knowledge into each Legal Environment within Mews could help simplify many processes, as tax would be automatically applied or deducted where necessary.29 votes

Mews is used by properties worldwide, with each country belonging to a custom legal environment which is then tailored to their needs. Currently the legal environment for the United States has not yet been developed to optimize operations for properties in that location. The addition of this environment could therefore help make Mews available to more properties in the USA.23 votes

We notice that, if we receive a booking by the Distributor, in wich the payer/booker is different from the guest, there is no credit card icon shown in the main screen (and also not on the reservation report). In this case, I think it would be more clear, if the credit card icon shows in the main reservation screen, next to the booker or next to the payment card line.21 votes

It would be very handy to be able to assign a certain product to a room category.
For example, we have a room category that is dog-friendly and we charge a one off fee. I want the guests to have the option to select the product when making a booking but also restrict them from booking it in another room category.20 votes

For properties that do not have 24/7 coverage it would be nice to activate an automatic reply for the messages to mention e.g. that the property will reply within 12hrs or the next day.19 votes
