  2. When you click on the "Timeline" symbol on the guest future reservation. The system does not brings you to the exact reservation on the timeline. you have to check for that on the search bar. I think it would save time if we can access straight away from the guest reservation.

  3. Is it possible to make the task field in MEWS bigger again so that you can drag the field to write info in it?

    Before the update, you could drag the "Description" window larger using the arrows at the bottom right.

  4. Notes in reservations is now a small box with just 3 lines visible. We need to adjust the size of the box or else we lose time scrolling down and looking the text.

  5. How is is not possible to move guests to another room, without making a new reservation or splitting a reservation. Too much work in to a simple action. Too much work where is no extra time for these trying times with too little employees.

    Thank you for contacting the Mews Product team.

    We currently offer several ways to move reservations including dragging and dropping reservations to another room from the timeline, as well as the ability to move reservations to another space from the status tab of the reservation screen or to a different space category from the properties tab on the reservations screen.

  6. every time you delete a house use booking it crashes the system. a couple of days ago it just took about 2 minutes to process through the system, since yesterday it crashes the actual page and you have to re-open a new mews to continue your work. totally frustrating

  7. it is actually unworkable as it will try to update for at least 2 minutes (no exaggeration!)
    it does it for as good as all the actions you and you basically need to open a new mews session (or risk that you forgot what you were about to do in the first place)

    We are happy to inform you that we have resolved the performance issues for the system.

    You and your team should be able to run Mews at an improved speed. Should you continue to experience performance issues, please do let us know.

  8. Would like the ability to save favorite reports in Mews rather than have to reset the filters each time. We can save this for export, but if I only wish to view the report, I must reset the filters each time and remember the previous setting used. This is cumbersome and prone to mistakes.

    If there was a favorite report section under the burger menu, it would be easy to access specific areas in Mews to display reports that are frequently used. These can be exported or printed, but in most cases, just need to be able to save the…

    Hi Robert,

    Thank you for the feedback.

    It is currently possible to view your favorite reports with the filters preselected by using custom links. You can set this up by:

    1. Opening a report in Mews > select the filters you require.
    2. Click “View” to apply the filters.
    3. Copy the URL and paste it in as a custom link.
    4. Save your custom link and refresh the page
    5. You will now be able to access the report with pre-selected filters by opening the burger menu > select custom links > select the custom link you have created

    It is also possible to access the custom links using a keyboard shortcut. You can learn more about both in the guide linked below:

  9. please add an overbooking filter in the reservation report. So you can find these unallocated bookings easier and quicker

  11. The colors on the timeline just make it more difficult to manage our inventory. Having the OOO rooms in a brighter color made it simple to track. Having everything in shades of grey is NOT an improvement

  12. Change MEWS timeline and space status colors back please, (blue = dirty, black = inspected, green = clean, yellow - ooo, red = oos)

  13. New update changed calendar/timeline colors to 50 shades of gray, why!!!???

    so,

    Out of order: dark gray
    Future stay: less dark gray
    checked out: light gray

    Why???

    Departures: light blue
    People checking in: light blue

    Who is designing your UI, probably same genius who designs your billing screens (old and new)

  14. It would be handy if it would be possible to directly assign a task to someone in a reservation, for example extra bed for housekeeping, as extra next to linking a reservation to a task.

    We are happy to inform you that we currently support the ability to create and assign a task directly from a reservation.

    In order to perform this action:

    1. Select a reservation > select the status tab >
    2. Scroll down and select “Create task”. 3. This will open the task form where you can both, create a task and assign it to either an employee or department.

  15. Tasks in the Commander Housekeeping app do not show which room or reservation number they relate to. Display room or reservation number to tasks in the Mobile version of the Commander Housekeeping app

    Hello from the Mews product team,

    We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

  16. Report that separates OTA's by 'Multiple Selected Travel Agencies'

    Meaning, we can pull a report for all revenue from all booking and also a report for just OTA'S (Not Brand Website), with a percentage against all bookings

    Hello Jodie,

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. You are currently able to group by “Reservation source” in the reservations report in order to see a list of all reservations separated by OTA. If you view the report in “Totals” mode, you will be able to view the percentage of reservations from each OTA.

    In order to view the report separated by travel agencies, you can select the filter group by “Travel agency”. If the report is “Totals” mode you will be able to see a breakdown of revenue from each agency as well as a breakdown of a percentage against the bookings.

  17. Currently, once created, bookable services can never be deleted. If you create some by accident you then have to live with them as they take up valuable up display real-estate (and increase the time it takes to figure out what to click on).

    Please introduce the option to delete those (either from the property or from the support level).

    Hello, we are happy to inform you we have enabled service deletion in Mews.

    Bookable services can be now deleted if there is no space category or space feature or reservation linked to them.

  18. For paymaster accounts we organize the receivable invoices per month or prepare a group of bill for a special wire transfer amount. Having the option of renaming a bill preview will be very useful when we transfer a receivable invoice from a customer profile to the paymaster account. We won't confuse about the right bill preview to transfer anymore.

  19. Registration cards in the US legal environment are in the wrong format: DD/MM/YYYY.
    The correct format according to the local standard should be MM/DD/YYYY.

  20. every time you complete a task, the filters disappear / clear. that has never happened before and is rather annoying to be honest. it is a waste of time having to (re)set them after each action.
