  1. To effectively utilize the Availability Blocks section, we need the ability to pick up rooms from a block that has an optional booking status. We often work with call-in allocations, where clients reserve a set number of rooms (e.g., 50) for their participants. As participants book rooms, the booking status changes to "confirmed" once a room is booked for an individual.

  2. Nous sommes une pourvoirie et nos locations sont pour des chalets, des terrains de camping, des tentes prêt-à-camper et des embarcations nautiques. Le problème est qu'il n'y a pas de "catégorie d'espace" pour les embarcations nautiques, il y en a une seulement pour les vélo. Même chose pour nos chalets ou il n'y a pas ce choix.

  3. We’re running into the same issue almost daily. A guest checks into a room, stays only a few minutes or an hour, then switches to another room. Mews immediately flips that first room back to “Dirty,” even though it was fully cleaned and inspected earlier that day.

    Housekeeping ends up wondering why a clean room suddenly looks like it needs a full turnover when, in reality, it only needs a quick touch-up. It slows the team down and creates unnecessary backtracking.

    What we really need are two things:

  5. I would like to request a small development regarding the deposit payments in customer's bill.
     
    Could you please add two new fields on the deposit payment rows:
    - The payment date of the deposit
    - The consumption date of the deposit
     
    These additions would greatly help us in tracking the right deposit when we have done some corrections for the deposit.

  6. I was wondering if it would be possible to add the additional Revenue and product Revenue into the ADR. At the moment it is only calculating the ADR depending on the Revenue and not Total Revenue, creating therefore discrepancies with the actual ADR.

  7. we would like to ask for guidance regarding the handling of Business Packages, as we are currently facing significant operational challenges in daily use.

    From our perspective, the key requirement is that the Business Package is displayed as one single bundled item
    both in the PMS from a staff perspective
    and in the kiosk view for guests

    It should not be split into individual components such as wifi, drinks or food.

  8. we want to be able to disable the "create keys" for a specific service or a room category. For example conference rooms that we have as a separate service in Mews have traditional metal keys or for the Parking where they only need a code we would like to have the "create keys" option NOT ticked.

  10. In the space status report, in the filter, under Options, add the option Display Tasks for our Housekeeping to see if any important things need to be added to the room.

    Im Raumstatus report, im Filter, füge unter Optionen, Aufgaben anzeigen hinzu. Damit Housekeeping besser sehen kann ob das Zimmer noch etwas benötigt.

  11. Currently, when sending an invoice/bill via email for a company owned bill only the company’s invoicing email is automatically suggested as a recipient. However, most of the time the guest (associate profile) should receive the bill as they have to file it with their travel management to get reimbursed.
    Hence, the email of the guest needs to be retrieved manually each time from the guest profile and copied back into the send bill/invoice form. This delays the checkout process unnecessarily!

  12. der Durchschnittspreis im Verfügbarkeits und Belegungsbericht, mach leider keinen Sinn, weil hier werden einfach die Preise der einzelnen Kategorien addiert und dann durch die Anzahl der Kategorien geteilt.   13. We found that some cancellation policy methods feel unclear to guests who book last-minute, and after reviewing the logic behind them, I can confirm that the behavior is due to a current system limitation. But it still needs to be fixed.
    One of the reservations was created on 11/5/2025 at 2:30:56 PM, and the system shows the following rules:
    • Confirmation: IDR 0.00, 50% (Standard Rate)
    • 60 days before check-in: IDR 0.00, 100% (Standard Rate)
    However, the confirmation email displays something completely different:
    • Cancellation after 11/5/2025 2:30:56 PM: fee of 50%
    • Cancellation after 9/18/2025 2:00:00 PM: fee…

    It would be extremely useful to introduce two new restriction options that control rate availability based on room count – both on the reservation level and the daily inventory level. These are different use cases but equally important for pricing strategies.

    • Reservation-based restriction: Min/Max rooms per booking What we need:

    A setting that makes a rate bookable only from X rooms or only up to X rooms within one reservation.

    Why:

    Group rates: Should appear only when a reservation contains at least 10 rooms.

  16. When adding multiple quantities of the same additional service product to an open bill, the display is different depending on the quantity selected when adding the product.
    - When I input a quantity of 10 or less of the product, the open bill shows each individual product as an individual line on the open bill.
    - When I input a quantity of more than 10 of the product, the open bill shows one line that groups all those products.

  17. Hi MEWS Community,

    We currently use non-refundable rates, but on Booking.com we still allow a certain level of flexibility:
    Guests can modify their stay dates prior to arrival with no penalty for the cancelled nights. The stay itself remains non-refundable, only date changes are permitted.

    This flexibility works very well for us commercially and helps reduce full cancellations while keeping the revenue secured.

    However, we’re finding it difficult to replicate this exact logic in MEWS.
    At the moment, MEWS treats non-refundable rates as fully rigid, without the option to allow date changes while keeping the payment non-refundable.

    When changing the bill owner, additional services (e.g. breakfast and breakfast adjustment) initially follow the new owner correctly. However, as soon as the guest checks in, these items revert back to the previous Reservation Owner due to default billing automation.

    Manual changes done before check-in are undone

    Creates daily manual work (15+ bills)

    Increases risk of billing errors

    Additional services to respect manual owner changes and not revert at check-in, or

  20. Warum muss ich bei einer Firmenreservierung sofort einen Gastnamen anlegen? Es wäre einfacher, wenn ich nur den Namen der buchenden Person anlegen könnte und die Gästenamen dann nachtrage. So muss ich die Felder doppelt ausfüllen. Gerade bei Firmen, die mehrere Zimmer gebucht haben, ist das anstrengend.
