    Very good point, a price tag or change track till when the price is valid or might change. Or a list that shows the price changes till the time a price is valid. At the moment we lose control of different pricing, which leads to staff and guest complaints about not presenting the correct price to them.

    It would be great if the OOO handling in MEWS can be optimized at all. For big hotels under refurbishment or during the covid time, we had to make thousands of clicks in the system to set, change, release amend OOO.
    If we could just have a tick box to mark OOO rooms and have the option to mass update them all together. Imagine you have to change one entire floor of OOO due to refurbishment or other maintenance reasons, you need to click in every single OOO to make the changes. This is very time-consuming and frustrating. Not only that you have to click in every reservation, also all future reservations have to be moved from that room. This adds to additional manual work.
    In a nutshell - I wish one of the developers would have to set 100 rooms/beds OOO, then one day later amend them all again, to release them one day later, cause this can be a reality in operations.
    Thanks for making this part more user friendly.

    I love the new function to see the mail queue on the profile dashboard. This is amazing, so we can see exactly which communication was sent out for this particular guest.
    After sharing the love and spreading the word about how amazing this new feature is with the teams, we quickly realized it is only available for admins.
    In fact, this is most important for reservations and front desk who would have the guest standing in front of them/have them on the phone and need to have quick access on which booking/cxl confirmation was sent to the guest when.
    If this can be made accessible it will be super helpful for the guest-facing teams. Admins don't deal with that every day - operations do. :-)

    it is important sometimes to send the client a link to only authorize their credit card. For example, if a 3rd party pays for the guest, in this case, we can use their card but we can not charge them upon arrival.
    Old days this was done via sending the client an credit card authorization form, however - this is not PCI compliant. Therefore a solution to replace this credit card authorization form is required.

    it is required to have more flexibility in which data is collected. This should not be a MEWS decision, although I appreciate the legal requirements, every hotelier has different needs for data to be collected during the online check-in / kiosk check-in.

    For the US market, it would be important to add in a relative product (Like a 15% service charge) to a product (e.g. breakfast) to be automatically charged, a product rule would be ideal.
    this would require adding on a relative product via a product rule base on another product.
    When breakfast product is used - add in a service charge of 15%. Hope this makes sense.

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started researching and collating information about this feature request and Age-based pricing is now on our roadmap as one of our priorities for 2021.

    There will be several iterations of releases throughout this year as it is a complex subject that we are tackling. Including pricing, stay products, city taxes, and many more.     At the moment the action log needs to look through on a pdf or the screen. A lot of times it's required to filter for specific users on longer time frames.
    But the even more important point is to make it available for scheduled reports to get it in the inbox for the controllers.

    This is a request we already reaised in 2019. Today I'd like to share the used case for this as well. When a guest is checked out, usually there is a standard the invoice can remain open longer than 7 days after departure, before it either must be closed to CityLedger / AR or revenue must be correct. In anyway something must happen with this invoice. At the moment the front team needs to export the accounting report, save as excel, add in a comment line why this invoices are still open. Then share with the management. This notes or comments are not saved in MEWS and therefore the hotel needs to do the same a week later, export the actual ledger and go thorugh every single invoice again to leave a note. This is extreme time consuming for the hotels. This is why we require a possiblity to add in notes/comments on every bill open in the accounting leger keep track and only comment on new bills or update comments from older inovices.
