end of day - manually or definately later
end of day should not be mandatory 12pm. Some guests arrive after 12pm - will be automatically noshow on that day. Further, it is not logic to book f&b products on another day, when the main day of the event is the prior one. This distorts heavily statistics

I'm upvoting this recommendation because our property has recently encountered issues that are creating conflicts with Square, an application in use throughout our ground floor venues before our Hotel opened and one that does not have an integration with Mews. Square enables a shift of the operating day so it does not end at midnight, but allows the day to end at 3:00 AM when our venues close.
With Mews fixed at midnight, reports from both systems, Mews and Square must be analyzed manually to account for the date shift in transactions posted in Square that are also in Mews. This defeats the purpose of Mews being a time and resource saver for our property.

Could the procedure be changed to manually so that every hotel can close the day individually? We have big F&B outlets and the posted revenues should be on the same day. Also we have late arrivals and at the moment they automatically change to no show at 12pm.

Hey all,
we are facing issues with the end of the day time at midnight. Operationally we struggle to reconcile cash postings from the outlets with the export file of BOF as the time is cut at midnight, while the cashier is still operating and the cash is dropped like 4 am in the morning. This means the cash payments reported to the finance system (midnight) and the physical cash drop does not match.
We tried to change the time with the BOF export file to change to 5am - 5am, but then the product consumption time from MEWS is midnight for Breakfast, which posts that revenue in the wrong day.
We tried several ways now, but the fact MEWS is considering the day to be closed at midnight has some operational challenges.
