    This is also important for Swiss guests. Currently the guest language is set by default to German for all Swiss customers. Switzerland has 3 official languages: DE, FR, IT. Only the guest himself can change the language to French or Italian. If the guest asks the hotel to change it, the hotel has no way to do it.

    Hi Mewsers!

    Thank you for your feature request. In the description is mentioned that “hotel should be notified by email when a guest makes a modification or cancelation of his booking on Mews Distributor”.

    Guest cannot cancel the bookings or modify them in Distributor as they are not logged in and thus there is nothing to notify about in Commander.

    Can you please clarify in comments what is the desired functionality you want to achieve? Or how would you like to improve your operations in this matter?

    The current solution is not satisfactory. It doesn't make sense the assign spaces randomly. As hotelier you want to optimise the work of housekeeping and you will assign rooms that are close one to each other to the same person rather than assigning a room at one end of the building and another room at the other end of the building.

    It is very strange that Mews deducts the language from the nationality. This are 2 different things. At any time you should be able to choose the communication language with the guest. This is is important for the automatic mails that are sent to the customer, for the invoices and for all other systems that can be connected to Mews and to which contact details are synchronised (including CRM systems for email marketing).

    It would be nice if all emails sent by Mews on behalf of the hotel are really sent on behalf of the hotel (and not from another email address than the hotel's email address). This would allow the see all mails in the hotels mailbox under sent items. It would also be nice to give the possibility to put the hotel in copy in either case.

    Mews should send a notification (per email or in the Message Center) each time there is a modification on a booking, be it from Distributor or the Channel Manager. Even if the Channel Manager notifies us, it would be safer to be alerted by Mews as well.

    Hi Mewsers,
    we just enabled the partial customization of the Before start email which is sent 48 hours before guest’s arrival.

    You can now add personalized details, such as specific arrival information or keep guests informed on your social distancing policies and encourage them to check in online.
