    My idea from a long time ago got merged to this idea. This idea is years old.
    I am wondering if you take this very critical idea serious, if this has not been fixed for years?

    The manager report counts the rooms wrong.
    The report counts the spaces and not the rooms. But for example when a connecting room is sold as one family room, the report counts 3 rooms sold.

    This is just wrong and needs do be adjusted. The support sadly doesnt help and told me to post it as an idea.

    Thank you for your feedback.


    The housekeeping system in Mews is currently based off cleaned rooms being inspected by a supervisor including for overnight stays. When rooms are inspected, they are then turned dirty overnight.


    Would you be able to share some examples of why rooms would not be inspected by a supervisor or manager for overnight stays?

    Proposal: Introduce a Dedicated Mother Company Profile

    Currently, mother companies are treated the same as standard companies, which creates several challenges:

    Limited Configuration Options:
    We cannot customize settings specifically for mother companies because they are handled identically to regular companies. This prevents us from tailoring functionalities to address the unique needs of larger, parent organizations.

    Ineffective Reporting and Data Analysis:
    All companies are aggregated in a single report and list, making it nearly impossible to filter, search, and analyze revenue streams from mother companies effectively. Any analysis currently requires substantial manual effort, reducing overall efficiency.

    Operational and Strategic Impact:
    A dedicated profile would allow us to define unique settings, streamline operational processes, and obtain clear revenue insights by separating mother companies from individual subsidiaries. This change is crucial for accurate business intelligence and decision-making.

    Proposed Enhancements:

    New Company Type:
    Introduce a distinct "Mother Company" profile that differentiates it from standard company profiles.

    Custom Settings:
    Allow configurable options specifically designed for mother companies, supporting unique management needs and operational workflows.

    Improved Filtering and Reporting:
    Enable search and filtering by company type so that mother companies can be isolated in reports. This would facilitate more straightforward revenue tracking and data analysis, reducing the need for cumbersome manual processes.

    Implementing these changes would not only simplify our day-to-day management tasks but also improve our strategic decision-making by providing a clear, differentiated view of our mother companies’ performance.

    Make the data the Mews Kiosk collects available via Excel, API, or Analytics.
    It is crucial to know how many guests and who used the Mews Kiosk and how many guests and who used the standard check-in.

    As this data is available in the business review, an Excel Export or access via API should be a very quick fix from your end.

    The Mews Kiosk doesn't recognize, if a guest has some products already booked and tries to upsell these again.
    For example a guest has booked a room including breakfast or has added breakfast in the online check in, the guest still is asked again to add breakfast at the checkin.
    This is ridiculous, the guest thinks we are scaming them and they are confused. Sometimes breakfast is sold multile times to the guest because of this.
    This should be a quick fix from you.

    Hi everyone, we know this idea was logged a long time ago and we thank you for the feedback and ideas about how to improve the system. We do keep an eye on these requests and how they're progressing and we recognise we have room to improve in terms of providing feedback.


    This idea has become a large group of different requests, so I want to clarify the intention and progress related to this. Please do reply and comment as necessary.


    We have previously made progress towards a big part of the original intent of this idea by introducing a 'Check in form' configuration in Mews Operations. You can find more details on this in our help guides here. We are not yet marking this as complete until we deliver some further enhancements to which guests the data can be configured for.
