Is it too much to expect some action on a revenue-affecting matter like this?Think about it - this is a crucial issue that impacts the bottom line. It's not just some trivial matter that can be brushed aside.
Our financial well-being depends on integrations such as these. This could be the most essential integration in MEWS, and it is working detrimentally.

This makes no real sense to push people away from choice.
Moving backwards is not intuitive.
Our least photogenic / desirable room is the one that shows first.Can I remove this room type entirely? I think I may have to.

Again yesterday I got into a jam when a client called about a reservation they were debating on.I looked like an idiot when I could not easily tell them what the cost was for their family!

We are having guests ask what their total is and getting it is difficult.Right now it is quite difficult to get a total of Rooms charges vs. Payments. One has to look in multiple locations.

Currently:
FD: Manually create Optional Reservation
MEWS: Optional Reservation Email sent
GUEST: clicks on email and then “Confirms”
MEWS: Reservation Confirmed
MEWS: “Reservation Confirmation” automatically sent to guest which contains link to “Online check-in”
FD: Requests Guest to check-in online (even though stay date could be months in advance) so that credit card details are taken
GUEST: Checks in Online (hopefully!) and enters CC info
FD: We can charge the reservation
That Step 6 winds up being very confusing and frustrating for guests. As they don’t understand why their reservation is not confirmed after they get a confirmation email.
Isn’t it the card information that confirms the reservation?

Hello Mewsers,
We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!
On this screen you will be able to remove items that have accidentally been added to a bill.
We are currently working on the ability to automatically post negative charges (rebates) with a single click.
Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.

There is splitting existing reservations (moving rooms) and giving the ability for people to book split reservations.
The first is now implemented. How are we looking on the 2nd? Is there another post?
